  • I brought a fish a week ago and it looks identical LOL

    Pretty boy

  • I have three Bettas currently. CT is the most friendly and least aggressive. sorry101.....I can't support your findings. The most aggressive is a small VT! It's down to the environment and specific fish's innate qualities.

Anyone: I have lilac VT hm only one I've ever seen. anyone else seen one? have pictures?

    kindest regards Jb

  • My betta's name is Henry too. He's great. And your betta's great too.

  • any 1 elce think they look like dilopasouriour dinosour when they flair up, you know around the head, the lil lion main lookin thing, gills I gess it is, if you cant read my shaty spellin just look at 16 to 22 and you will see what I mean

  • lol, that was hilarious! great looking tank!

  • Cool!!!+100

  • he looks exactly like mine

  • what a beautiful fish

  • HES SUCH A PRETTY BOY :)

  • Beautiful fish!!

  • sick lookin crowntail :D

  • CT BETTAS is just a selective breeding made in 1997 in West Jakarta, Slipi, Indonesia, and the creator was an Indonesian breeder named Achmad Yusuf (Iyus). There is NO difference in agression levels because CT and VT are just the same, both are Betta Splendens. So if your betta is agressive is just because he was born like that or... he woke up on a bad mood. Besides that you might get more info at bettysplendens-com or wikipedia.

  • -.- Why would someone make CT agressive when theres plakats!? Plakats are used much for figthing also if u go to thailand then yeah there migth be CT's that ARE bred for figthing BUT if u goto like some LocalFishStore and buy CT it's just a normal betta. Not all CT's are "Bred to be agressive".Almost every bettas are self breeded in petshops atleast here is.You can't say that CT's are more agressive because you're talking about every CT in the world, thai ones probably are.

  • wow. Crowntails are known for their more aggressive attitudes, but this one looks downright pissed! D:

Finnage and coloration are beautiful though! :)

  • Crowntails are no more aggressive than other fintypes the fintype doesn't affect on anything.

  • its not fin type that affects the nature, crowntails have been bred into a line of bettas with higher levels of aggression. Like golden retrievers have been bred to be somewhat more aggressive. The same with crowntails.

  • Dude if i buy a crowntail and veiltail it doesn't mean that the cronwtail is more agressive u can't say that CT's are more agressive thank others!!! you dumbass fins doesn't affect to agression!

  • I'll say once more, fins have nothing to do with it. Its their genes. They've been bred to be more aggressive, it has nothing to do with their fins. How the hell are the fins supposed to affect personality? they don't. its just that the fish itself has been bred to be more aggressive.

  • and learn how to spell...

  • Dude you just said that fins affect on agression and now you say they don't and no crowntails have NOT "bred to be more agressive" -.-

  • Forget it... I'd rather not waste my time and valuable intelligence with stubborn airheads like you.

And just for the record, CT's ARE more aggressive than VT's. =)

  • Listen retard CT's are NOT more agressive than VT's because they are both the same specie: Betta Splendens. And because ct's look more agressive because their fins it doesn't mean that they are more agressive also can you prove anyhow that CT's are more agressive than VT's ? I bet no...

  • domestic dogs are the same species (Canis lupus familiaris) but are all bred to have different traits, be it coloration, size, or aggression. German Shepard and Golden Retrievers are the same species, but the German Shepard is more aggressive than the golden because of the way it was bred.

  • We are talking about Bettas not dogs..they are completely difrrent things.

  • Different animal, same idea. Betta splendens is the species fish we are talking about bred into many different color/tail types, halfmoons, veiltails, crowntails, etc. Some have been bred to be more aggressive. Just so happens that corwntails are one of the main targets in this kind of selective breeding, as are plakats. Trust this information coming from somebody with years of experience and research on this fish. If anyone out there is reading this argument, can anyone help support me?

  • @Fishyobsession101 I would disagree - CTs really aren't more aggressive than baseline. Plakats, yes, maybe. But really, it's more of an individual thing, a personality difference, than a tail type thing.

  • =P not as dumb as you... ignoramus...

  • I disagree with you. CT's are inded more agressive just like plakats. They have the fighting gene within them just like all bettas, only its more developed. Stop trying to sound so smart, we clearly know just be reading these texts who is wiser...

  • Well said

  • thank you UkNoWiTWoRdGMaN!

  • It looks like he changes color.

  • Very handsome fella.

  • At :30 and after is hillarious

  • He is a very pretty boy, is there a heater and filter in there? and how big is the tank if you dont mind me asking, and the water is so clean it looks like he is floating, WOW!

  • This is a 10g tank, no heater and no filter but he does just fine. This is California and that gravel at the bottom is full of live mussels. Most convenient setup ever, if you ask me.

  • Cool, but i would still reccomend the use of a heater to keep it at a constant temp, it does them a world of good, best wishes.

  • @barometer nice betta fish, but i saw one that is even better but i need to clear one of my betta to buy it,anyone interested in a red dragon delta tail?only in singapore

  • How cute
