  • Superb tie, How would you fish the stimulator on the lochs/loughs

  • Hi TheBoobyBasher,

I'm glad you liked the fly...I tyed this fly for a friend that liked nothing better than fishing on the roughest day in the middle of an Irish or Scottish loch pulling this fly through the rolling waves on a cast with one or two other flies and I would say this one would suit the top dropper, hoping and waiting for a large trout to grab a hold of it...

    All the best Davie

  • @DavieMcPhail what aboot 4 flies

  • Great fly, I have used a yellow and natural stimulator in Central Otago for rainbows, Just started tying my own, cheers for the tuition

  • Hi Davie,

Those Irish fish sure do like fancy flies. I am learning to like the Irish Style, very artistic! Another great fly, I will try this one out some time this summer. Thanks for the education.

  • Another great one. I can just imagine this being pulled through the waves of my local hill loughs. Id say in Fiery Brown and olive shades it would be great also.
