  • kilmer absolutely killed this part...born to play this roll

  • at 1:38 the chick who plays Kennelly messes up and says "It's you they want Val" instead of "It's you they want Jim".

  • really don't like this movie

  • First of all, I didn't the actor they chose for Jim Morisson (I am talking about appearance). Jim Morisson was kind of hot, I find this guy disgusting. Secondly, I like many Doors' songs but have never actually read about Morisson or the band and their life. After watching the first 30 minutes of the movie and dumping it I have to say two things: either the movie/actor/script/plot are VERY bad either Morisson/The Doors were not as special as I thought. He seems so arrogant and pretential

  • @greensallydown i didn't like*

  • @greensallydown I heard he was kind of a prick

  • actually I think he looks more like Jim than anyone else I have seen, who do u wanna get Will Ferell I mean c'mon!

  • @IamDottieDandridge actually will ferell would be a better choice

  • In the beginning of the movie, Jim is walking on the beach and he sees Pam and follows her, and this song is playing, and I just can't figure which song it is!!! And I'd like to know it..... So, if U know it, please let me know it too.. :D

  • @Kaffeization LOVE STREET

  • @DJOBEY11 Yea, not that one, the one right after :D

  • i hate this moive cuz it not the truth u ppl want the truth go read the book NO ONE HERE GES OUT ALIVE

  • @alexis7289 It's the same story. This IS the truth, they just left some things out of it.

  • WTF!!

He does not look like Jim Morrison at all!

    FAIL!!!

  • @Se7enBitchez he looks similar calm down. its not a fail.

  • Oh, Thin Kilmer... we hardly knew ye...

  • Does anyone know the song in the movie at the end where the camera is going through the cemetery and stops at Morrison's head stone?

  • @42069ism Feest of frend

  • @42069ism it was called severed garden on the american prayer album . It was Jims poetry album that the Doors put music to after his death.

  • It was okay. i give it 3/5 due to inaccuracies though.

  • Does anyone one if there is a peyote drug scence in this movie?

  • @hannahyoubetcha no just bumming

  • entertaining movie but completely shit at the same time.

  • This was a great fictional movie about Jim Morrison.

  • this movie is a disgrace to the real life

  • what song plays at 00:9

  • @GirlFlyAway Backdoor Man (live version) ;)

  • lmao X) "Pamela Morrison ornament!:D"

  • Terrible film that did no justice to a great artist & a great band, Oliver Stone you suck balls

  • Comment removed

  • very nice movie...

  • lol in the movie a guy says about andy warhol...."does andy imitate life or does life imitate andy" lol BS Jim Morrison was life the true fun and spirit of a person who just has fun

  • why did they call the movie the doors if its only about jim morrison.

  • @antifacistppl Totally agree man! The film do not tell the history of the others band members!

  • @antifacistppl 'Cause Morrison was the idol of the band. The doors were greater than the sum of its parts, but morrison was the symbol, carried the myth.

  • Comment removed

  • Val Kilmer did great job as he always does!

  • I'm the Lizard King and I can do anithing!!!.

  • happy birthday jim morrison

  • i like how this movie discribesjim as a toaltal drunk wich he was not.

  • @alexis7289 so you had a close relationship with jim huh? good for you! tell us a bit more about him please!

  • @shamiir18 lol if you read the book NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALVE u will know alot bout jim n its writen by someone whp knew him u fucken retrad

  • @alexis7289 learn how to write well before typing shit and making look yourself like a fucking retard

  • loco galera

  • I still think kurt russel would of made a better JM than val kilmer

  • Jim and Pamela died young :(

  • did you have a good world when you died? enough to base a movie on?.

  • Those who dismiss this movie don't realize it created a new generation of fans for the Doors.

  • aww WHY does meg ryan HAVE to be in this?!?! :(

  • Friend went to Paris..asked what I wanted from there.. . said Pic of Morrison's resting place. That's it.

  • girl we couldnt get much better lol

  • @patsredsox1210 I know right?...

Dweeb guy: Instead the network would like you to say,"Girl, we couldn't get much better; can you dig that?

Jim: "How about girl you couldn't bite my wire?"

    I love it!!

  • Jim Morrison was larger than fucking life. Salute.

  • there...the duck is DEAD!...

  • Wonderful movie. Good question. Who was playing the film: Val Kilmer or Jim Morrison himself. Everytime I watch this movie, I cry at the end of it. Till I gonne to Paris, to pay a visit at his tumb at Pere Laschaise, Cemitere. And then I haven´t cried any more: JIM MORRISON IS ALIVE FOREVER. HE IS THE BEST

  • Val Kilmer played tha hell out of Jim Morrison! He made Jim Morrison a more inspiring inspiration than he was!Jim Morrison wuz tha image of a 27 year old rocker!this movie spoke to me nd i wuz lucky to see this

  • @liyaheyeTLC what the fuck are you talking about? yes he did a good job, but in real life jim was not as insane as they made him in this movie. never eveer say kilmer is BETTER then jim

  • This looks really interesting!

  • I read a comment on here that someone said they couldn't watch the end of the movie neither did I. I mean don't get me wrong I did watch it the first time I watched the movie but after that all the other trillions of times I've watched NEVER watched the ending again.

  • When I first watched this movie I could picture Jim Morrison doing that @ 0:36..

and then I started laughing my ass off. He was such a HOTTIE.

  • denzmore was 23 at the time

  • Who's hotter Jim Morrison or Val Kilmer?

  • @JUANITAESQUIVEL Morrison all the way

  • @JUANITAESQUIVEL Jim.He has depth.

  • Uyyyy de putisima madre, tengo q verlaaaaaa, tengo q tenerla rayos!!!!!!!!

  • This movie is funny as hell to me. But it's also pretty true. I mean it's true in most events, but yeah Val Kilmer did make Jim Morrison look like an idiot at times in the movie. So I give it like a 6/10

  • This movie fucking sucks. It portrays Jim in all the wrong ways.

  • I saw this movie first time the week it came out and several times since. I watched it again tonight still love. it. Kilmers life role . respect.

  • Yo wer can i watch this?

  • I made this after watching that movie! : adf.l y/3MfmY

  • His voice gets me high.

  • @4evaheartbreakkid jajajajaja me too.

  • @4evaheartbreakkid i agree:)

  • For some reason I like this movie. Mostly for the great music soundtrack I think. Val Kilmer is great and the story as to how they became a band is good too. So many, many inaccuracies it is unbelievable though. Oliver Stone could afford good researchers. It also made Jim come across as a drunken fool when there was so much more to him than that. I guess the truth was too boring? 'When You're Strange' is so much better.

  • The movie is great. If you haven't seen it, do. It's not entirely accurate, but does portray Jim as well as the band and everything they went through very well. It's a beautifully told story, and it really does capture a lighter side of Jim, as well as the darker side.

  • This looks really bad.

  • @Anima14 It kinda is. I only watched it for the soundtrack.

  • @askadetra it's called WONDERLAND were Val Kilmer potrays the famous porn starjohn holmes wich he carries a 13 and a half inch pee pee were ever he goes...

  • pou mporw na thn katevasw?

  • lol greek subtitles

  • Jim Morrison lived a life worthy of a rockstar. I wish I had a time machine to go back and see at least a show of this wonderful band. Fui. Volnei Brazil

  • much mass the film. When the film was here in Brazil in open channel rock the nation stopped to look

  • too much sex in this movie lmfao

  • @drummerchikk101 It's a movie about Jim fucking Morrison, there has to been loads of sexy time involved.

  • Does anyone know the name of big man who is calling Jim - Jimbo ...???

  • @bebac95 hey ey! Jimbo!! *kisses random girl* that one?

  • @TheButtercupTube Yes , do you know his name?

  • @bebac95 Hell dude. I thought I did. Then I forgot...sorry man. :/

  • @TheButtercupTube OK man , never mind ....:D

  • Jim was a weirder and bigger Genius/Asshole than what the movie showed

  • @piratemonkeyfish how do you know he was

  • can someone tell me please, what was that movie with val kilmer where he has a long hair again, but he is in a rocker's gang on bikes, they have a problem with a mafia or something. please, any idea?

  • NO MAMES O: Mega super orgasmeadaaa XD Cada que veo la pelicula, ME MUERO (:

  • Ελα ρε ελληνα ποιοτητα ακους!!

  • Rather than him as "Jim the Legend" , I prefered "Jim the Poet"....His poetry was unique, and his songs were just...perfect..

  • ( I mean: just read Jim's poetry and see his work besides the Doors, wich is already a major proof of his genius, there's nothing about this retard drawings and cookie character....He was obsessed with Nietzsche, was sensitive and kind, maybe did he take advantage of his success and went overboard, but no one could blame this, I mean, it's easy to criticize but we are just beasts, that's it. Mr Stone, you just forgot Jim's true personnality besides his character)

  • Comment removed

  • This movie just tells about another idol, without grapping Jim's character. I mean, Val Kilmer is just good to hang around with his mouth open in a shitty way, as if he was dumb.... Olivier Stone took a risk by doin this movie and I don't think he ever managed to make it true. This is just a story for a bunch of stupid girls who could fantasise on another bad boy. I'm quite young and I may speak as a brat, but this is just revolting to see such a movie. (Sorry for my english, I'm french)

  • For those who don't know the Doors that much, please consider this: Oliver Stone turned the story like a bad soap opera....I mean, I don't think of myself as an expert, and no one could as Jim's life was complicated, but this shit is just telling about a dumbass who tasted success and never was true. Jim was very intelligent and concerned by a change of his time, he wrote amazing poems and wrote some songs that most people nowadays could not even enjoy at its greatest.

  • no jusgemos todo el trabajo de oliver el intento hizo pero pienso q no recreo al verdadero jim q era totalmente irreberente y todo el mundo lo sabe sin embargo la pelicula tiene algo q no me convence

  • cool... val kilmer played both Jim Morrison and Batman.

  • This "movie" sucks.

  • Val ...this only choice to play Morrison

  • I have this film and it is accurate in theory yet lacking in principle. What is the true nature of a man we've seen as a GOD? Just listen to his words and that will tell you. Morrison was a man of mystery yet that was one of his many appealing qualities. One film cannot do justice in recreating the story of his legacy. I give Stone credit for his attempt however idealizing it was of Jim.

  • This is how he lives u pork fuckers!

  • Shit, he looks like Jim too.

  • jim <3

  • At 0:08 I almost jizzed my pants. :)

  • All geniuses are tempermental and unpredictable...

Thats why artists are worth millions...and women love them...oh yeahh

  • But the actor that looks like Jim Morrison = Val Kilmer have done his homework very very good!

He looks , moves and behaviour and acts all like Jim Morrison in that movie, Val Kilmer had the same sensual sexy charisma in this movie :)

Val Kilmer deserves and had to have an Oscar, i say!

And Val Kilmer even more hansom in that movie, than the real Jim.. ;D

  • @MLDJHF you're totally right!! he was Jim Morrison nobody saw Kilmer there...why didn't give an Oscar? big mystery

  • @Janezeta Probably because mimicry isn't really acting and we didn't learn much about Morrison from the movie. He didn't seem like a complex character at all. He seemed like a poster come-to-life.

  • They raped Ray Manzerak like George Lucas raped Indiana Jones!

  • According to Stone in this movie, Morrison was nothing more than a drugged-out jerk.

  • True. Oliver Stone is the epitome of the egotistical Director, and little things like "facts" cannot be allowed to get in the way of "the Great One" and his Vision. He did the same butchering of the truth in "JFK". If you learn your history from Mr. Stone--you are to believe that Kennedy was assasinated by a conspiracy involving: the FBI, the CIA, anti-Casto Cubans, Castro himself, the Mob, the Army, LBJ, the Ku Klux Klan, the KGB, and just about everyone in America (except Stone himself).

  • anyway the actor that looks more like jim was Jason Patric! love u jim!

  • @Tinaalv I always thought that as well. I never knew why nobody else saw it. A Doors movie with Jason Patric and a director that respected and appreciated the true story of The Doors and Jim would have been actually...great!

  • @Tinaalv Jason patric? Doesn't look like jim at all...

  • @penguinbubby1 Specsavers!

  • Doesn't look like him though.

  • & how do you know if Jim was conceited or not? Perhaps, you`ve spoken to him !!! It`s so silly, people ARE really a dull herd. You idolize him, whereas he was simply a person with wonderful qualities and of great value, can`t you accept that he might have had his flaws? It`s selfish trying to absolutely destort his personality - everyone has their own idea of what Jim was like! My guess is that he was aware of it,fascinated by people`s psychology :O

  • Umm, in real life Jim didn't purposefully rub in the word "HIGHER" in Light My Fire. He simply forgot to replace it. Like alot of others were saying, he wasn't a wasn't a huge jerk in real life! He could be a smartass sometimes, but can't everyone be?

  • Brings back memories. I was an extra in this flick. Best job I ever had in my life...did not pay much and the movie was kind of lame, but I got to see Robbie play Light My Fire. Val even looks like him ...unfortunely I endeded up on the cutting room floor, O_o, Poppawolf

  • In my opinion the actors did a phenomenal job, specially Val Kilmer, but Oliver Stone's work as a director/ producer ruined it for me. Terrible portrayal of Jim Morrison. Ray, John and Robbie should've stopped him before this movie was ever released. I wonder how it would've turned out if this movie were made by someone as intelligent and capable as Clint Eastwood? (Just a thought)..

  • The beginning bit where they all say their occupations. That is so poor. Why did Oliver stone even try to replicate that. The smoothness and suarveness of jim in those few seconds could NEVER be portrayed again. And pamela morrison? Um, theres not really any proof they were married. I get quite angry at this film, does jim nothing but discredit and diservice. The man was lyrical genius with a heart of gold.

  • this movie is a bullshit... first part is good one, but rest...

  • the guy who plays jim morrison makes jim seem like he was all stuck up and concieded..

  • I thought the movie was great. Oliver Stone did a great job. Yah it was a little depressing, but Jim Morrison's life wasn't peachy

  • I wish it was still the 60s so that I may experiance all of that; the hippies, the music, the weed I want to take it all in.todays world is too materialistic... :/

  • Jim was high, so I highly doubt he was hyped up

  • I imagine Jim had many different sides, and perhaps he could occasionally be like some of the scenes in the movie when he got wild, but I doubt he was like that way all the time.

  • ...the movie is good, and it gave many answers about ther songs, but i don't believe that jim was like that in real life...jim in documentary about the doors and jim in this movie is totally different person and somehow i believe documentary more...

  • If only Charlie Sheen replaced Val Klimer...

  • So Jim Morrison is batman?

  • @sartanko Apparently.

  • @sartanko whattt?

    batman?

    -yeah ..maybe he iiis

  • song at 1:08?

  • @TheKris1896 Light my Fire

  • @TheKris1896 Light my fire

  • @TheKris1896 u must be kidding me

  • @TheKris1896 light my fire duh!

  • oliver stone hates jim

  • thats crazy i can,t do the Jim Morrison scream like that :P

  • It starts good yeah, but then it all turns into a kind of soap opera, with Jim and Pam behaving in ways that I cannot believe really happened: I mean, 'the duck is dead!' for instance.. Pure drama that only happened in the imagination of the people that thought of this product. The music is good though. I justed hated the over the top acting that Kilmer made Jim look more and more like a sad clown in the end. Jim wasn't like that at all, not even in his last days! Those must have been 'strange'.

  • you know what ? I'm a huge doors fan, I mean i love every single thing about them, loved when you're strange, No one Here etc and i seem to be the only one who actually enjoyed this movie. I mean jim is portrayed the way stone sees him and isn't this what it's all about ? i mean we all see people how we wanna see them, everybody has a different perception of jim and it's reckless to say there's a "right one", so fuck it ! It's a good film, why does everyone's got to be so uptight about it ?

  • Oliver Stone should've read No One Here Gets Out Alive first. I read the book first before seeing the movie, and it really has a better representation of Jim and the band as a whole.

Even though Kilmer practically steals the show here...

  • Ok, who agrees with me that James Marsden (look him up) looks like Jim Morrison???

  • @nice678900 wtf ! totally not man!

  • @frokkelprokkel oo........i thought so. He looks like him a tiny bit

  • @nice678900 Just looked him up, and he look's nothing like him.

  • i think Val Kilmer did a good job playing the Lizard King ;)

  • the val kilmer is the same as the jim.is the finest on the project..:D

  • I can't even watch the trailer to the Doors movie, thought I could, but no.

Ray made a funny comment on a radio interview, talking about his discussions with Oliver Stone about Jim: "The Lord said 'let those with ears to hear, hear,' and OLIVER HEARETH NOT!" lol

  • i like the movie....it is nice

  • I wanted to see a movie about the Doors since the late seventy's .....well?

  • o kirios stone ekane polli lathos! o dimitrios den eine etsi! this film was screwed up by oliver stne! Jim was NOTprimarily in this behavioral manner!

  • Fuckin-A this was a horrible movie and I had driven almost 25 miles to see it! The only thing good about this movie was The Doors music. I was hooked on it after seeing this movie.

  • val kilmer and meg ryan? OH COME ON.

  • The movie sucks, but the cinematography is AMAZING!

  • Oh come on that doesn't look like jim Morison

  • @TopTenCrew I agree.

  • The Problem, The Big Problem with this is Jim is protayed as a psychopathic dumbass, when in truth he was a gentle, sensitive, and intelligent poet with a bad temper. Oliver Stone obviously did not do his homework.

  • @Finnstudios morrison? its not a biopic, its entertainment..just feeding the preconception.myth...btw morrison prob had one of the more interesting 5 year runs as much as anyone in history...

  • @Finnstudios I disagree. I did not get that from the movie at all. What I got was this brilliant man was wasted to much of the time and it's very sad that he left us so soon.

  • @Finnstudios He was a psychopathic dumbass, since the drugs made him flip even more than he already was. An overrated junkie, that's what Morrison was.

  • @Finnstudios er knew the DAMN band.......hes was a out of control druggie at times

  • @davidallenroth er knew the DAMN band, What? That makes no sense.

  • @Finnstudios

stone knew the band before they hit it big and he spent time with he remaining doors before he made the movie

  • @Finnstudios Well the movie was a little bloated on the psychopathic side but Jim was very wild and out of control like that

  • @Finnstudios thanks to god there is a documentary call "when you are strange" and it shows you the real Jim Morrison

  • @Finnstudios He's just that kind of director/filmmaker. He thinks he has to push everything to the limit or it wouldn't be interesting/artistic or whatever. Anyway, I don't like him or his work.

  • @Finnstudios Whyyyy do you people keep whining with this bullshit ,Jim was potrayed as accurately as possible to the general public. He ,infact, saw the script himself and approved of it. You people are fucking stupid, what are you tryin to be anyways? Sophisticated? It`s not working. Jim was everything he seemed to be - outrageously honest, audacious, brilliant and beautiful.I don`t see how that`s in any way misinterpreted in Stone`s movie...
