  • WOW.

    It's hard to believe that's not a bloke in a costume! :D

  • Well when I went on this ride, he was saying "I see you guys are giving me a standing ovation!" I yelled back at him "We have no choice!!!!!!" He laughed at me, lol!

  • yeah he said that for us also :D

    that was a good joke!!

    :D

    haha

  • you should have recorded THAT!!!!

  • That ear gag was pretty good; I didn't see that when I went a few weeks ago.

  • aww, poor Potato Head

  • Why does it sound so quiet?

  • Here comes the next generation of AA's!!

  • If he is an audioanimitronic, but can take off his ear, that is VERY good work

  • since he's interactive, i wonder how he would react if someone were to wear a shirt from universal (seeing that universal orlando and disney world are rivals)?

  • He's not interactive. =( He just says a spiel. Don Rickles recorded it, so it isn't someone backstage talking like with Muppet Mobile Labs, for instance.

  • so in other words, the observations are random and not intentional.

  • Basically, yeah. Everything he says is prerecorded. But I'm not sure if there's someone controlling /when/ he says things. Like when he is talking to the guy in the 'white shirt', he may also say 'green shirt', or 'red shirt' or something, and someone controlling him picks the 'white shirt' option. It could be that way, but I'm not sure. Unless the queue is empty, there'll probably always be someone there in a white shirt.

  • Someone controls what he says from a set amount of speils. sort of like a soundboard

  • This is true :)

Cameras are placed behind Mr. Potato Head so that the person controlling his dialogue can point out specific people in line :)

  • he is interactive i have seen him call out people in like the pink shirt and stuff kinda like roz in the monsters inc ride

  • He can't be pre-recorded, he wouldn't know their names and he does talk to people based on their shirt color. A few years ago I talked to Stitch at Innoventions in Disneyland and he talked to me about Yu-Gi-Oh. I assume Potato Head and Roz use the same technology.

  • Ether way its amazing... Pre-recorded or not...

  • lmao. it's funny because at universal, they do the same whenever someone's wearing a random disney hat at a certain attraction (i.e. Stitch @ Men In Black, and Nemo @ Jaws, but of course if you wear anything with Mickey Mouse on it, being a butt of a joke there is inevitable, especially during Halloween Horror Nights).
