I like rap. It's my favourite genre, but I agree with Amy Lee. It's so overdone and the mainstream rap is barely even rap. It's just watered down. It's basically pop with a rap influence. I hate it. And it's giving the genre a bad name cause it's very sexist much of the time.

Nothing we can do but listen to and support the good artists while we wait for the shit trends to fade away. :\

yea i agree w/the rap thing, all these radio stations play anymore (other than christian and conuntry stations) play rap! and im sick of it, rapping isnt musical, and all they tlak bout usually is making out and ppl doing eachother, and its just grose, and of course evanescence, wont get any respect, from radio stations, because their different, and in my opinion a FANTASTIC BAND! my favorite band! rap comes dead last on my music list, next to blues lol

i agree with her. but good music of every genre has pretty much gone away. like, what ever happened to the good R&B like tamia, carl thomas, even mariah carey (AMAZING) most of the songs are about like the same thing with the exception of maybe 2 on the album. like, real rap is dead, thanks to 50 cent and soulja boy and people like that. and t-pain and akon are no better. they dont sing, or rap, they have something in the middle going on, and its stupid.
