  • 9 people aren't thirsty....

  • Eddie Money AKA Mahoney was shot as a police officer wrote most of his songs wile recuperating.

  • @QFunk69- ha ha! :)

  • QFunk69- ha ha ! :)

  • This has always been one of my favourites by Eddie Money :)

  • WHY WOULD YOU PEOPLE DISLIKE THIS EDDIE MONEY IS AWSOME :)

  • @xgex1816 they smoke crack

  • @xgex1816: Don't worry about those few dislikes ... they're barely the glowing cherry on the end of a long, green cigarette.

  • Just saw eddie last night in Ft. myers great show

  • This is his best song : )

  • have'nt heard this in ages, dont like him, but i like this

  • Poor Eddie

  • slap that horse in the ass and with my last dyin gasp my brother could hear me say

  • Not underrated - he was dropped by CBS because he could not sell records - fun songs -simple lyrics and instrumentals, but he ain't no Steve Perry or Bradley Delp!

  • A, G, D, A. Rinse and repeat. Its amazing how incredible vocals can mask what is essentially a very simple song. Love artists like this that can create art out of simplicity. Keith Richards was a master of this, and so was Eddie Money.

  • I LOVE,LOVE ,LOVE EDDIE MONEY.....these old tunes just completely ROCK ME!

  • WHHOOOOOOOOHOOOO

  • Wait a minuet this is so funny, I shot a man on the Mexican border last night; with a cool glass of water.

  • She was shakin, one of his greatest hits.

  • @Corleone2239 AGREED!! that is THE SONG of the 80's!! Each time I hear that song come on the radio,I ALWAYS turn it up HIGH!! LOVE IT!!

  • You just gotta love the music. Thanks Mike

  • I saw him at the Asparagus Festival in Stockton a couple years back.

  • This and shakin r his 2 best

  • @999BIGDOG I agree big dog

  • woot woot goin to see Eddie Money this Saturday in Lima Ohio!!!

  • gimmie sum water

  • i could use some water, its 97 fucking degrees!!!!

  • nothin better then being at a college party and having the chorus coming on and everyone screaming GIMMIE SUM WATTTTAAA...... COOO COOO WAAATTTTAAA

  • I could use some cool cool water

  • Eddie needs to shoot some Mexicans on the U.S. border

  • Not to pull out this tired old chestnut, but there isnt any "catchy" decent music like this nowadays. Being only 25 you would think I would like my generations music but seriously I cant force myself to like that auto tuned garbage, even the rock sucks ass. I swear most new "rock" on mtv consists of 32 year old music/art school grads that are trying to be bad on purpose or something, like to be ironic.

  • @Boston1775 Sad for your youth and your generation. All I can say is I hear you man, I feel your pain. I was very blessed, born in 1960, with an older brother and sister, and they were both into buying new vinyl all the time. I grew up on Joplin, Cream, The Doors, Hendrix, Stones, Led Zep, Dylan, Beatles, The Who, etc etc etc..... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!! At least you have youtube and can watch all this stuff, not quite live but very damn good.

  • Shot a man on the Mexican border? Sounds like a true American to me!

  • Yep, he is under-rated! But you can't keep him........

  • The Mexican army caught up to 9 people. Thier execution is in two days, and I'm going because they deserve it for evan looking at the dislike button on this song, much less consider doing anything with it.

  • Eddie Money had a

    lot of great songs!

  • I NEED SOME WATER!

  • 9 people didn't get any water

  • EDDIES THE FRIGGIN MAN !

  • i love this man greatest voice ever

  • Just moved to phoenix... I cant sing this song out loud in public anymore :/

  • Margo Hates You Eddie ;)

  • Thx Mike...This is one of them goosebump songs

  • love eddie i made alot of love to that mans music lol he was my barry manilow lol

  • One wicked cool song... Even if it does make me a little thirsty!

  • ah the good ole days when the music was great.the hair was long. no internet. no cell phones. no cds. no pay tv.fuck technology

  • He is a good artist, but the reason he's only appreciated for a few songs is that only a few charted high. BTW, I think this is a remake of a Who song.

  • @Uniquemand I think you're thinking of the Who song, Water. It's not the same song, but I can hear why you might think so.

  • 8 people are dehydrated

  • The idea is as follows: staging design or piple design tarp opaque covered solid hangars with an intermodal parked beside it for parts. x all the air ports in the world. Sell to the rich.

  • walkin through daytona beach in 07 and stumbled upon an eddie money concert...for free!!! one hell of an artist. got to meet him too. down to earth person. keep rockin eddie!

  • I always felt like this was my song to my younger brother... thanks for hang'in with me through the rough times Mikey

  • the beginning guitar tells ya its a syory of ill fate.....AWESOME

  • good tune, thats all

  • great song, i have nothing else to say... great artist in his time

  • Cant you see that long white rope Hangin from the hangmans tree? Take the restless horse tie my hands, of course - Tell my mother that Im finally free. Let me die like a man no one understands Let me pray Let a poor man pray! Smack that horse in the ass. With my last, dyin gasp, my brother could hear me say, Gimme some water! Cause I shot a man on the Mexican border. Cool, cool water
  • DID HE WRITE HIS MUSIC?

  • @JSPADE89 I don't think he wrote this, if he did he was a co-writer.

  • Gimme' some water, because I shot a man at the Mexican border!! Cool cool water...

  • @ForbiddenHaze I can still hear those lyrics coming from the speakers of our LTD when I was a kid......awesome for the 1970's!

  • lets put him on the Arizona/Mexico boarder with all the water he wants.

  • @upisblackblackisdog: Boarder or border??? I suppose that he could be a "boarder" on the AZ border. Then again, maybe you should be put down there, with an English professor.

  • Sorry, I couldn't resist a little humour. :)

I also happen to think that Eddie Money's 1980s hairdoo was humourous.

  • saw him oncce in 83

  • eddie money gonna rock des moines tonite!

  • Me again. To add a note, Eddie Money an NYC homeboy, is one of the most underrated ROCK-N-ROLL artists of our time, along with the likes of Pat Travers, Warren Zevon, and the list goes on...............

  • @mikethemachinist1 i agree weird how eddie had 11 hits but the audience he's played too it's almost as if he only had 1 or 2 hits i don't know where they went and why.

  • @miketheblueeagle And the people who grew up in the 80s listening to his 80s shit have little or no memory of songs like this. They were too young to have remembered his early stuff, which I think was better.

  • @miketheblueeagle oh yeah...i saw him several times in the 70s. great stuff!

  • @miketheblueeagle i'll agree eddie was huge. i saw him live in the heyday and it was incredible. saw him again in 2001 and he spoke all the words to his songs and let the audience do most of the singing. still rocked my butt off and had fun but it just wasnt eddie money. what a shame.

  • @mikethemachinist1 Hell yeah! Eddie Money rules. And Pat Travers! Dimebag Darrell, R.I.P., was a Pat Travers fan.

  • @mikethemachinist1

you got that right! Eddie was one of the voices that was the background music to us who were teens in the 70s

  • @mikethemachinist1 seems like there isn't much real talent around these days.....i am grateful i grew up with real music back in the 70's

  • @mikethemachinist1 The Money Man had plenty of radio hits and had alot of press coverage , PR and so on to be sure. He was a local favorite here in Cleveland back in the day. Hell of a showman and musician too. Hasnt made it to the Rock Hall YET, and I hope he does while still living. Its his destiny, and would be a great tribute to the "Man".

  • @mikethemachinist1 warren zevon ? lol he was mainly a writer of music!

  • @mikethemachinist1 Eddie Money is from Phoenicia, in the Catskills. He told us tonight at the concert I just left. :)

  • @mikethemachinist1 ..I have to agree ...One of my faves..and I also LOVE Pat Travers..Have seen him in concert like 5 times and also had the pleasure of hangin with him and the band in Reno nevada,,in 1978..played POOL and got drunk and even made out with LARS! hahahahaha.."good times"

  • @mikethemachinist1 Nice to see a Pos. post from a fan , not negative drool from the kids. None of these musicians/bands are underrated. Premier Performers for their era, Grand Funk Railroad, April Wine, Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Bread, Pure Prairie League, list will always go on. They've went separate ways, occasionally regroup, play '60's & '70's hits for a time. Look 'em up here. Wikipedia, always an update there.

Hello notsoinnocent6x, love your eyes & lips... actually, all of you. elbeeinfinite

  • Thanks for posting, more kids these days need to listen to a kick$%^%^ song, with melody, and overall a killer jammin tune.

  • Should be on a Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar game) soundtrack. I thought of it without prompting as one of my favorite classic songs!

  • please subscride if u like cars...2397billy

  • death to rap! long live classick rock!

  • give me some water...CUZ I KILLED A MAN FROM THE MEXICAN BORDER!!!!!! hahaha that racist but funny

  • @2397billy it's cuz I SHOT a man

  • @2397billy "I killed a man (ON) the Mexican border, not "from" and it's not racist.

  • @2397billy ..Come on he didn't say a Mexican!!! Could have been a Black guy tring to steal his car!!! LOL..:)

  • This song makes me thirsty, not for water, but an ice cool, frosty beer

  • @bigdsears i hear ya there on the ice cold beer. This song was out before my time but I love the old classic rock.

  • @candh1975 Yeah, it should be "Gimme some MGD Light"

  • super tune goin to see him tonite 7/21/10!!!!! at syracuse inner harbor

  • he is one singing MOFO..........................

  • Gotta say, tugging at the hearts of music lovers to make a fast buck, geez, how low.

    Google "miketheblueeagle youtube"

and see the "get rich quick" begging for money. Get a life, or better yet, get a JOB, work for a real living, instead of begging for money. sad....

  • Ahh my teenage years they were awesome listening to this I wish eddie was still in his prime so he could show these rap crappers what real music is like.

  • @Mrtealwing Your damn right! You and me would get along very good. The classics were great

  • I'm a AC/DC fan but Eddie money rocks 1of the best and if Eddie was still in his prime he can probley kill screamo and death metal for how good he is

  • i actually like the beginning more than chorus

  • goway

  • The Main Man

  • he wants you to give em some water and he can walk on water he really loves water

  • @motleycrue24 he wants you to give him some water SO THAT he can walk on it.

  • this is for THE BORDER

  • @teecuzbruh ironic isnt it??

  • My God i miss the 80's. What happened to music? We passed the torch on to the next generation and you guys, for the most part have dropped it.

  • @johnbruder01 certainly is

  • @johnbruder01

i agree, im young, but i love the old rock and country, hate this new crap

  • @johnbruder01 Hey man, they not only dropped it .......they poured a bucket of water on it, kicked dirt all over it and stamped it out until it was all exstinguished......

  • @61rocker could not have said it any better

  • @johnbruder01 This song came out in 1977.

  • @rayjr62 dont remember hearing it till the eighties. thanks for the info though.

  • I can still hear this song playing as a kid on the stereo in our 1973 Ltd!!!!!

  • eddie money his dad was a cop. I love the money

  • eddie was actually the cop! He worked for the "Broklyn" police department in 1974 before they merged and became NYPD! In 1978 he took his singing career full time! His first hit was Baby Hold On!

  • Pop...no...He says he "killed a man on the mexican border"...for yer record

  • yeah im sorry for that, i haven't think so much about that he says "killed" a few times, i apologize, i should have now that , because Eddie is my fav artist of all time.

    keep on rockin'!

  • @wicccanmomma , he started he's career in 1977, and he's first hit'S was Two Tickets to Paradise n' Baby Hold On...

  • Actually his first hit was Baby hold on in 1977. His original name is Edward Mahoney and he was a Brooklyn police officer before leaving for San Francisco in 1976 to jump start his singing career. He is one of the most approachable performers today! I have several autographs, pics, and have actually had short conversations with him!

  • @wicccanmomma that's correct. I remember being 3 and 4 years old listening to both tunes in the back of my mom's LTD Brougham. That car had FM STEREO and 4 great speakers! these songs sounded great in the back of that old car!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gimme some beeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr !

  • hell yes

  • I missed this the first time around. I heard this on Deep Tracks on Sirius. I LOVE this song. This shows Eddie talents promise, not hte novelty MTV bullshit like Shakin. He was on the same level of Bad Company.
