Thanks for posting this. I just read and heard the radio excerpt that was on "Let The Music Play" CD and read about Miss Clark winning that contest back then. It's nice to hear the actual song that she got to record with the Supremes.
@BlogShag she probably was being that she was a 16yr. old who had just won contest and is now recording a song with the supremes on background! lol i would be nervous too but she did a good job though
If anyone has The Supremes' CD "Lost and Found: Rarities," you can actually hear D.J. Scott Regan telling Christine for the first time that she's won :-) It's on an amazing bonus track that features cute banter and conversation from Mary, Diana and Flo, some song history about "Baby Love" and "Stop! in the Name of Love" delivered by Diana, and a sassy (and hilarious) radio commercial done by Flo! Not to mention all three call in to Scottie's show from their dressing rooms.
I suggest you actually put the name of the song either in the tags for this video, in the title or in the description otherwise people won't be ale to find this GEM. ALSO posting it as a video response to The Supremes' version with Diana on lead might be a smart move.

The lead voice sounds somewhat under pitch, shaky and nervous

Sounds rather good which says a lot for the writers, the producers, the Funk Brothers and Mary and Flo's backing vocals!

And, not to be a know-it-all or anything, but I think that's Cindy at :42, not Flo. :-)

You are right bcoombs1888. Cindy Birdsong was not in the Supremes when this recording was made.
