Woah! Thanks so much for this gem! The 2nd track is definitely not ‘SFS’, and sounds like an early (or alternative?) version of ‘Lock-Groove Lullaby’ off their 1993 ‘TRNBWA’ LP. The chords are different but the rhythm of the melody and Mary’s ‘la la la la’ part betray a distinct similarity.
Thanks for posting! I was in the front "row" at this in-store performance, which took place at Vinyl Ink in Silver Spring, Maryland, in November 1993. A magical, wonderful moment. Hard to believe it's been almost 18 years.
My brother started following them from something like their third gig. He put me onto them but that was a bit later. One of his favourite stories was they were playing a tiny pub in Camden which was very hot inside, and since the bass player was near the door he just stepped out into the fresh air and finished the rest of the gig on the pavement, hanging round by the window. I kind of wonder what passers-by thought when they saw him there strumming away.
This is great... would have been nice if they went with the 'Pack Yr Romantic Mind' suggestion. I can't believe that this must have been after Transient Random-Noise Bursts, but they're playing in like a room with 12 people?? I'd love to see the rest of this.

This isn't in an Australian record shop. They never came to Australia when Katherine Gifford was in the band. I wish they had!
