it is also important to investigate the logical relationship between each statement, or element, in your proposition. a more detailed and specific perception that refers to the "logical conclusion" is used in my original response.
in this case, i could ask if the conclusion necessarily follows from the first phrase? i could also apply the same question in whether the only solution is to "become companions with the animals of the wild" (which is convenient, in this case). for a subject-related evaluation, the question would be how relevant the first phrase is to the situation.
is not definitely true since reality extends across a spectrum; the conclusion is an over-generalization since it is incorrect to refer to all situations where disconnections from "something" exists, as situations where there is difficulty in feeling care for "what happens to it" (for a more precise general evaluation, you would need to specify the nature of the "disconnection", here).
since your proposition is developed by declarative statements capable of having a truth-value, such as being true or false, it is not self-evident, but rather, capable of being evidenced by proof. in order to determine the logical value of the proposition (prove or disprove it), it is important to carefully examine the truth of each statement, and, in this case, base the examination also on how it relates to the topic (which amounts to the same thing, but creates two levels of evaluation).
i love people like this, they take an animal and take care of it but they dont cage them. I am very sorry for your loss. He will have a good life in heaven. Maybe he can meet my dog and they can be friends. R.I.P. Brandy
in a sense, a philosophical perception of your point would redefine certain parts of it, since it would reduce the casual definitions to question marks and replace "logical conclusion" with logical conclusions.
my perspective emphasizes the existence of a unique animal perspective, and the ingrained tendency to measure animals by human standards, instead of focusing specifically on logically refuting your point-of-view.
Puma, is another name for Cougar - as is Mountain lion. They all are about the same animal. There are different types in North and South America that vary slightly in size and coloration. Such a beautiful creature and so loving - I know how hard it is to loose a kitty family member.
you guys need to shutup and enjoy the video just cause their wild some other places doesn't mean they can't become friends with humans. the dolg started out as wolves..
also interesting is your association of the proposed idea that wild animal "adoption" is not mutually beneficial, with a lack of "sensitivity" to the circumstances of the "adopter". which says so much about your interpretive skills.
what is more interesting is the ingrained tendency to apply limited thinking when forming a "conclusion" based on a "perception", refer to it as if its self-evident, then justify it by comparing it to something worse.
or your association of "animal welfare" with "us". or the ingrained association between "intelligence" and "human intelligence". i could go on, but whats the point? it is interesting, to say the least. in fact, it's a source of continual interest.
since it would fatally undermine "our" ability to measure "solutions" by human standards and prevent "ourselves" from addressing matters in easy sentimental terms like"become companions with the animals of the wild", drastically effect "our" capability to grasp that this is all based on a very limited view of the world, and ,generally, have various effects on the nature of "our" association between "us" and others.
if "we" were to "realize", say, that the only way to prevent "ourselves" from committing crimes, that would otherwise be classified as "murder" if "we" weren't so reliant on subjective terminology, is to become "companions" with the "animals of the wild" (where, "companion" = "animal companion", and all that implies) then i daresay that would negatively effect "our" ability to attempt to broaden "our" perspective.
@RoboStalin600 He treated her with respect and gave her companionship and shelter and provided her with what she needed. Most wild animals can be treated that way, especially when you have them from a young age.
Wow, just awesome brother. Sorry for the loss. I am a firm believer that the animals that God gives us to love in our life will be waiting for us on the other side.
She was a very beautiful cat! I am glad you had the chance to make all those wonderful memories with her. She looked like an absolute sweetheart! I wish I could be so blessed as to even touch one of these beautiful animals!
How very blessed you have been to have shared such a loving relationship with one of God's most beautiful creatures. An animal's quallity of life is not dependant on living in the wild, many of what we typically consider "wild" animals would have far worse lives in the "wild" as there is very little "wild" left to roam. I think this baby had it great and she obviously loved him as much as he loved her!!
How lucky you were to have had such a sweetheart for 16 years!!! I know you treasure her memory and she loved you too!!! Thanks for sharing such a loving girl with us! Rest in peace precious Brandy!
that's interesting because cougars are actually more closely related to domestic cats than to any big cat. This makes me think we could/should domesticate them...that would be awesome to have a sign that says "beware of mountain lion"!
I LIKE THE VIDEO VERY MUCH !! I'm into cats myself so i understand the meaning of this video. Greetings from Romania...God bless those who care for other living beings !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can see that your beautiful cat was so happy in her life with you. You were blessed and so was she. She loved you. I lost my little soul mate 6 months ago (a rescued domestic cat, Bonita). Perhaps another cat will come into your life - perhaps one that you rescue from a bad situation. Susan
maybe in the future we will raise our IQ and understand that adopting wild animals is not mutually beneficial since it means animals have to endure human company and resist the urge to eat our hearts out.
@kippister And maybe in the future we will realize that the only way we aren't going to be at odds with nature constantly is to become companions with the animals of the wild, much like this man did. That Puma was his companion, he cared for her, and that is a hell of a lot more than most people. So, on behalf of those that might be to nice to say it to you: Fuck you and your insensitive comment.
maybe in the future "we" would distinguish between "our" perspective of the universe, and a universal perspective. which would be good for "us", if "us" were to represent all of "us", since it would allow "us" to separate "universal truths" from universal truths. it would also benefit our interpretive skills. this has a lot in common with "realizations".
@kippister You are starting to get into metaphysics there. I'm not. The reality of our situation is this: We have to learn to live with nature, rather than beside it. This doesn't mean backtracking our scientific advancement, it simply means blurring the lines of civilization a bit. Again I'm talking from a strictly real world perspective. At that, conversation over.
if that distracted you from focusing on the meaning of the idea, that was not intended. if not, then referring to the idea from your perspective would allow you to clarify the distinction between, say, "backtracking our scientific advancement" and my position. if you carefully read my comments, i was referring to a somewhat subtle logic point. i could restate it, in a different manner, but it's probably better, if you care, for you just to reread my comments.
@kippister Alright, I'll put it this way: You are talking philosophy at this point, I am not. Simple as that. I'm trying to point out to you that by intentionally avoiding developing a bond with other animal life that inhabits our world, we are only hurting them, and ourselves in the long run. This is because we will not, as a whole, see an issue with the extinction of a species, much as it is now. If that continues, we kill our planet, and the logical conclusion is our own death.
@kippister But, it is. You see, if you are disconnected from something (in this case nature and wildlife) it becomes very difficult to care what happens to it. Extinction of a single species also causes a cascade effect through the ecosystem. If that disconnection continues, eventually the cascade will have a profound effect on us. That is self evident.
if a proposition is termed "self-evident", an immediate consequence is that its truth is evident in itself. if logic is used to prove a proposition, then the resolution that logic is self-evident is automatically affirmed given the nature of logic itself.
if you claim your proposition is "self evident", you "are talking philosophy at this point".
I love it!!! Rest in peace kitty. And fuck all u people who got bad shit to say this video was made to honor and remember their pet so show sum respect to the family. @0283matthew ok dude most or all people who own big cats get killed or maimed so i wouldnt think getting a big cat or wild animal as a pet is a good idea. Also animals like this need to be in the wild where they belong because it could get out and be a nuisance to the neighborhood because they could kill others pets or other people so is that what you want to happen let other peoples pets die just so you can have your way man thats just the way most rednecks are. and dont think i hated this
@cawthy07 OMG! Not another stupid and arrogant beyond belief teen that seriously thinks he's so fucking cool! Listen, bimbo, you might show fucking off before your dubass buddies, who don't know any better and probably think you're funny. But don't you mess up with a grown woman. I'm gonna make you feel sooooo embarassed and uncomfortable!
@HelenaVanCity HAHA for a start i'm not a teen and your spelling and grammar is fucking awful, just plain awful. Bring on the embarrasment and making me uncomfortable... what are you going to do, undress?
@cawthy07 I'm not surprised you know the spelling of "dumbass", 'cuz that's exactly what u r.
Will you kindly point out to and correct my other spelling and grammar "mistakes"? You forgot "vocabulary." But that's probably because your brain is too tiny for so such a big word. lolz I really can't wait for an illiterate and uneducated kid to start teaching me English. Sounds like fun already!
And poor thing, you've never seen a naked woman? So, u r not just dumb, but ugly as well? lmao
Studies in Russia actually show that by breeding two submissive, calm and naturalyl quiet wild animals, be it a type of wild canine or wild cat, you will have offspring that are calm and submissive. And over the years of doing this over and over again, within up to 10 generations of that species, the offspring will even start to have different colors and even sometimes physical features. Aggression is a trait that can be bred out of animals/human.
@87Hadley thats basically how we got wolves to become dogs. It wasn't the big badass alphas that hung out with the proto-homo sapien sapiens, but basically the lowly, quiet, weaker omegas, the bottoms of the pack, and over time we took em, bred them, and got the many multitudes of dogs we have now.
Hmm, well. They've attacked and killed hikers and joggers in western Canada on many occasions. He's lucky he wasn't killed by the cat, regardless of how domesticated he thinks this animal was. Yes, I know wildlife behavior very well, thank you very much.
@KyleJPie10 and? It's just weird to refer to an animal, especially your own that you are attached to, as an object. It's fine if you don't know the sex, but if not, why not refer to them as him/her? They are living, breathing creatures. Apparently you are not one to become attached to your pet despite having him/her for 10 years. Why do you even have one if you think of it as an object?
Wow, that their is one hell of a pet. It takes a certain type of person to be able to raise such an animal and have it be such an easy going animal. Sorry for your loss and I can relate. I lost a boxer who had been by my side 16 years just last month.
=( sorry...she was a charming and amazing animal, very cute ...I would love to have a puma...you had very lucky to have such a beautiful animal, congratulations =)
@Punisher4bmw Most people that own big cats are able to aquire them when they are very, very young. Usually just a few weeks after they are born. When raised from infancy by humans big cats can actually grow up to be quite tame. However, it should be noted that even if a big cat is raised by humans it is still, by nature, a wild animal and at any point in time when provoked or by pure instinct it could turn.
People having non domesticated (not talking hand raised) talking NON domesticated animals is all fun and games until that one split second they decide to get a twig up their ass and chew your face off. Hell my stupid house cat wigs out every now and then and takes swipes at me with a paw full of claws... thank God she doesn't weight 100lbs and think I'm a wiskas treat.
Your best friend was a giant pussy.... Sorry, had to do it, couldn't resist.

@chillaxer1993 Yes. It depends on what region you hail from.

Hmm, well. They've attacked and killed hikers and joggers in western Canada on many occasions. He's lucky he wasn't killed by the cat, regardless of how domesticated he thinks this animal was. Yes, I know wildlife behavior very well, thank you very much.

@KyleJPie10 16 years is a long time. especially if its your first pet (not your parents)
have you known anything that long other than your parents (which you don't get to choose)
BlindlyZack 2 weeks ago
@BlindlyZack I've had a dog for nearly ten... and yes I love my dog, but I don't get super affectionate with it.
KyleJPie10 2 weeks ago
@KyleJPie10 Well of course you don't, since you call your dog "it". Nothing wrong with loving your animal and being affectionate with them.
ETEntertainmentToday 2 weeks ago
@KyleJPie10 "It" is grammatically correct for an animal.
KyleJPie10 2 weeks ago
@KyleJPie10 and? It's just weird to refer to an animal, especially your own that you are attached to, as an object. It's fine if you don't know the sex, but if not, why not refer to them as him/her? They are living, breathing creatures. Apparently you are not one to become attached to your pet despite having him/her for 10 years. Why do you even have one if you think of it as an object?
ETEntertainmentToday 2 weeks ago
I have a lot of respect for you sir.
I love animals and it's good to see there are a lot of other people that love animals too ! ;)
darkskull9901 2 weeks ago
Wow, that their is one hell of a pet. It takes a certain type of person to be able to raise such an animal and have it be such an easy going animal. Sorry for your loss and I can relate. I lost a boxer who had been by my side 16 years just last month.

Punisher4bmw 3 weeks ago
