There are enough alternatives.. pretty close to the VW test track in Ehra Lessin is the Papenburg test ground, it is independent and can be booked by everyone.. 9ff do all their topspeed runs there...

The CXXF was toased by the Veron several times during the Moscau 500 unlimited a stock Veyron was ~3s quicker at the standing mile than the CXXF and more important it was already 20km/h faster... a Veyron SS would rip a CXX into pices.

Fuel economy is shit, SS veyron has a rough suspension, its heavy, too large to park it anywhere, 20,000 dollar tires that burn easy, probably engine maintenance runs you 4,000 for 3000 miles, and any repairs will buy you a new car for the price. It is about the most impractical daily driver, unless you have millions lying around and you like the car that much

A veyron is the smallest niche you can find, simply because its so expensive to buy and maintain. But i understand your point

I kind of glad this thing ripped such a time. ZR1 & GTR fan boys get really old with the annoying: "car x**** is cheaper & faster, making me choose the **** over it." No shit you'd choose a 70k car over Veyron as you couldn't afford it even if you did like it. Otherwise it would be pointless and motor trend would go out of business. I can put enough power into a civic and make it run to the Veyron.
