@concussedcarneous The pelvis does not change position, so the human anatomy itself would not be altered. The prosthesis might be a bit larger or smaller than the original bones, so the size could be changed in that respect.
@concussedcarneous This is a total hip replacement, which is for health reasons. The patient obviously had a severely arthritic hip and needed their hip totally replaced. This entails cutting off the femoral head and then reaming the femoral canal. The femoral stem of the prosthesis is then cemented into the canal and the new femoral head is attached. A new metal socket is installed and lined with plastic to act as a lubricant.

@pianowiz1025 yeah but when you say "totally replaced"... you mean what's between the femur and the ilium, do you not?
is it at all possible to change the shape of hips? to thin or lower them?
