HELP HELP HELP.. on ableton the little progress line that goes across the soundwave isnt in sync with metronome, its about half a beat faster, how can i fix this, its annoying and confusing!!
Great tutorial. I've actually read the manual from Ableton on this twice and it never quite clicked for me. I think it has to do with the various ways time is represented in this piece ie. there's clip time, midi time and final track time. Getting all these ideas to gel without a good walk-through is intimidating.
I often use this trick: Before locking (dbl-clking) any warp marks, I like to cntrl click & drag the grey markers for variations on beats/clips. Adjusting the warp settings(beats, texture, repitch, etc) after doing this can create some diverse changes. + adjusting the 3 transient modes, and amount, can do wonders.
Thank you, I now have a much better how-to understanding of tightening up the percussion track in Ableton, especially helpful was the 80% "human error" tip!
Very well made and clear tutorials that show exactly whats going on and why. Iv picked up a little something from each so far. Good work Loudon.
