  • This interviewer is drunk. Look at those drunk ass eyes, rocking back and forth in her chair.

  • I VOTED RICK!!!

  • i was at the vote mob in LondonXD

  • The out-of-country youth are joining the movement to encourage voting! :-))

    watch?v=wJhL09H3JtE on YouTube

  • “I never meant to say that the Conservatives are generally stupid. I meant to say that stupid people are generally Conservative,” John Stuart Mill

  • UoG i'm so proud to be from there now! go go go UoG and Vote Mobs all across canada~ if i wasn't out of the country, i would definitely have appeared :D keep it up and Rick you inspired us to step up, thank you!

  • John Dunsworth's been at it too!!!

  • Right on, Rick!

  • Mercer is a homo with a far left point of view that works for the government .

  • Watch this funny new video from Professor Phish about the upcoming election, women in politics, and the insecurities of men in politics...

Search Professor Phish or the songs title itself : "The size of your c..."

Check it out and share it!!

  • 21 year old, voting, havn't missed one yet :)

  • So proud of Canada's youth who are standing up and taking action. They add such a positive "spin" to this election.

  • Thanks to Rick Mercer's challenge - we may see some change in a good way in Canada this time. Bravo Rick and all students who do take the challenge and VOTE!

  • Jct: And they're going to vote for the same old no-answer parties. Maybe they should just stay home? Or poke your family and friends to the Big Lie of Low Level Radiation being harmless and John The Engineer's Dream Team of election candidates who'll let me save us by reprogramming the Bank of Canada to finance mass production of anti-cancer herb we'll need to fight off the nuclear cancers on the way. Which same old party does Rick Mercer think offers change? Up with what? Flags? Har har har.

  • I think it terrifies the Conservatives most of all. They are the only party trying to stop this movement. Please vote. Go U Guelph. Go students. This is your country! Go Go Go.

  • Yay!!!! Keep voting for the same parties! This is fundamentally a conservative belief. If you don't believe in a mass-movement against the government and opposition parties who put Canada in its current state, then you certainly must want to vote for them. None of these parties offer any solution. If you're well enough informed to boycott the election I applaud you.

The majority of the people in vote mob will vote for the three main parties. The 3 which have had 50 years to change Canada.

  • @Fmaack anyone who can't see the difference between the parties hasn't been paying much attention at all. Also it is a logical fallacy. But whatever, it is people like you that give me a greater say in voting. Say what you want, but it won't change my mind. You'll never elicit meaningful change in politics sitting on your ass doing nothing. What's your big plan here to fix things? And it's a little pathetic to encourage people to also remain lazy and uninvolved.

  • @Demarcoa Check out the website political compass. They are non-partisan and show you where the different parties stand on different issues and how authoritarian or economically conservative they are. None of the main parties are even close to where I stand. I feel this is a cop-out. The parties are too similar.

I encourage people to practice direct democracy. I'm involved as an activist in many areas. Democracy isn't checking a box once every 3-4 years. That actually does very little.

  • @Fmaack I know, and I appreciate that. Are you referring to writing letters, signing petitions, donating to lobby groups? These things take a lot more work, and I feel the lay person would never even conceive of that. Voting, IMO is the smallest amount of political activism possible (and it seems like you share that view). But if you can't get people to spend even 20 minutes to check a box, how can we possibly expect people to engage in any other real democratic activism?

  • @Demarcoa I don't believe in symbolic action. I believe in direct action. That means that if there's a provincial minister cutting funding to welfare or disability we go there and picket his office. In the past people have even occupied these offices.

People have been trying symbolic actions for decades and it hasn't accomplished anything. Stop trying them and go to direct action. You can try alchemy forever and still never get gold.

  • @Fmaack yeah I get what you\re saying. I feel that voting is a good way to get potential activist's foot in the door to take more direct action. Keep in mind this "direct" action has been around since before democracy. Like voting, it does dick unless politicians feel their future revenue is geniunely threatened. Harper does not feel his job is threatened = rampant, obvious, corruption. Votes can and has changed things.

  • f*** John Baird.

  • Yay kids! God love em

  • Like this if we need harper out!!

  • If you have an independent on the ballot, vote for them.... They will wield a heavy hammer in a minority parliament. Plus, the will vote for the riding, and not a party. PO the establishment.

Would be great if we could get 20-30 independents in Ottawa!

  • Thank You Rick for specking what is on my mind. I wish our leaders had the same vision. Thank you from one of three millions Student

  • Rick Mercer is the man! NFLDers' Rocks!

  • Rick is Canada !

  • What a load of crap!! voting per-se is not going to help anyone. vote of a person who don't know shit about politic is worthless. I have seen many students who blame Harper government for something that has been done by their own provincial Liberal government!!

Generally speaking if someone is not voting it's because either they don't bother to educate themselves about politic or they don't care which in both case they better not to vote at all.

  • @theleftymonster yah, those university students creating vote mobs don't know anything, they should be banned.

*Or on the less sarcastic side, with the media issues in Canada that we have, no one knows anything so no one should vote. TYRANNY FOR ALL!

  • DON"T THESE PEOPLE HAVE EXAMS!@!@!@!@#

  • Add one more calling on Rick to run for PM. More important is with those who cry foul & call him names and question his integrity/intelligence/observation skills, they're crying LOUDLY because they KNOW that Rick is not only RIGHT. But that the youth WILL rock the vote & hopefully depose their pet dictator, Mr Harper. Here's to hoping that Harper gets his PINK SLIP on the May 2nd, LIBERATION DAY!

  • Abso-frigging-loutely!

  • There are still intelligent people in Canada

  • @hanksnow82 If you can't say something constructive please shut up.

  • @hanksnow82 you just proved my point. Thank you

  • @laflammr Your point was Mercer is an unfunny faggot ?

  • @imN0Ttheone: the point is that by answering Mercer is an unfunny faggot ? proves the fact that the person is incapable of writing something intelligent. So having said that, I don't think I will waste my time on this stupid discussion. I wish you a good day and I am happy that we don't live in Lybia because some people would not have the gusts to stand up for democratie. At least Mercer tried to do something constructive instead of being disrespectful to others.

  • @laflammr Mercer is a unfunny faggot and that is the point

  • @hanksnow82 fuck you homophobe fuck stick, somebody should put some boot prints in your head.

  • @Guerilla49N It would have to be somebody a lot tougher then you

  • @imN0Ttheone you sir, are an angry, bitter, troll.

  • @Demarcoa and your a faggot

  • @imN0Ttheone u mad bro?

  • @imN0Ttheone Ooh, you really got @Demarcoa there, you illiterate buffoon.

  • @imN0Ttheone my point exactly.

  • @imN0Ttheone why can't i find any of you tough guys out there in the real world... i thought there was no tough guys left until my wife taught me to use the internet six months ago and i found out you had all gone on-line. tough guys of the world, please come back out of your mother's basements cuz i haven't had a good ass kicking in a long while and i'm getting bored.

  • @Guerilla49N You just fiqured out the internet 6 months a go ? Are you retarded ?

  • @imN0Ttheone hell no, i was just too busy having a life.

  • @Guerilla49N ....the life of a caveman?

  • @AsteriskStar1 the politically correct term is troglodyte.

  • @hanksnow82 How do you feel now? Better? What have you added to the conversation? Bile.

  • Rick Mercer is talking out of his ass, if he thinks that the young voters are that into politics hes kidding himself. The liberals, and people like Mercer just hope that the young people are automatically going to absorb liberal bullshit. Most young people like the NDP, and there are many young conservative voters but yes the vast majority of those voters are liberal and ndp.

  • @TomJackson986 Rick Mercer does a lot of things out of his ass

  • tell me which party is most likely to legalize weed and i'll go vote for them.

  • @jeffbriggs1987 The NDP

  • @jeffbriggs1987 Its actually part of the Green party's platform. Legit.

  • Good for you Rick Mercer...

  • I have a feeling that Harper vetoed the campus voting thru Elections Canada..

  • Rick Mercer is an amazing example of what one voice can do to inspire change. It gives us hope that the youth of today are listening, watching and participating in making a difference in our great country. Way to go Rick!

  • GO RICK MERCER! :D RICK FOR PRIME MINISTER!

  • Voting will not change a thing! Voting is only a validation of the present system in place which will not change because CANADA is a corporation owned by the world bank not us! Until Canada, the land and its people, own and control its money, everything else is a polarized distraction! Watch the Oh Canada Movie, and never stop learning and never stop loving, Peace

  • @jordandoh Voting is only one of your tools, but it is unwise to neglect any of the tools at your disposal to invoke change. Pick the least bad party and go with them; then get outside and agitate for change. Do both.

  • Comment removed

  • @jordandoh Voting can change everything! Voting validates the present system and initiates change because CANADA is a democracy run by the people. Until Canadian people get off their ass and vote, everything else they say is just hot air coming from an uneducated propaganda machine. Watch the Men with Brooms movie, and never stop learning and never stop loving, peace.

  • @mcdcor Sorry brother but that will not work, the crown owns canada, the rothchilds own the crown, so canada cannot be free until we uproot the corruption that inhibits our politicians from properly representing us. The money supply in canada needs to be put back under the control and sole benefit of its people and country, not a private bank, anything "politically" done before hand is nothing but a distraction including elections.

  • @jordandoh I 100% agree with your point on the money supply. But you really have to ask your self, how do we get rid of corruption? Despite what we would like to believe its nearly impossible and we should be pretty greatful as Canada is far less corrupt then many other countries!

  • @jordandoh

    1. I'm not your 'brother'.

    2. If this country is so 'corrupt', move to Sudan. I hear they've got a good thing going over there.

    3. Read point number two in an extremely sarcastic tone.

    4. Learn what a run-on sentence is.

  • @mcdcor The fact that you have resorted to a defensive and dismissive manner and are trying to insult me? just shows you haven't seriously investigated or genuinely concerned about the real state of affairs and moreover how to change it from a local level ie: you!...how's that for a run on sentence ;) I wish you the best in life my friend...dare I say???

  • Thank you Rick!

  • What a champion

  • Terrific work Rick Mercer, you are a true Canadian!

  • A RAFARANDAM.

  • Rick Mercer for Prime Minister!

  • Ah, he's so great :) A real canadian inspiration.

  • The Blank face on the news Anchor when Rick says "I don't think I have ever missed an election" Is halarious 2:20

  • @anigan Haaa! Priceless!

  • @anigan Looks like a bad post- edit.

  • "A face like a boiled boot"; I think he was generous to Baird. Kudos to Canadian youth. Conservatives acted like assholes; so no surprise there.

  • Thanks Rick!

  • Good video
