  • First lesbians, now a monster with tentacles. Somebody been watching too much hentai.

  • First off I love Nikola's new haircut and secondly they should make him a full time cast member!!!

  • 00:40 - Helen! dont give Tesla a strait line like that!

  • I thought the creature looked like a beholder from Dungeons and Dragons.

    I'm such a nerd (^_~)

  • CTHULHU!!!

  • Anyone ever notice that Biggie seems to be getting older....or...craggier...? Ish??? Or is it just me >.>;;

  • HHHHHHEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNERRRYYYYYYYYYYYY!

  • I think this episode was really great, don't really care about the B plot because that's what it was a B plot. Thought Helen, Henry and Tesla were fabulously in character and there was an added depth in this episode to all three of them!

  • This has ti be the best SciFi series in history. It just keeps getten better and better.

  • I love this series :)

  • so i went back and watched season one and biggie looks a heck of a lot different now than then

  • I liked this episode a lot. The Tesla and Henry bonding was great and Magnus and Tesla flirting as always, only Teslas implied fling with redhead ruined it for me a little bit and the ambiguilty if they had something ging on or not. I would like to know for certain and not be left with guessing :-/

  • Does anyone know where that creature would have came from? Since it is an abnormal, Magnus never identified its origins. Do you think it came from since part in hollow earth? Let me know what you think?

  • Well, on the one hand, I don't think this was a fantastically intricate episode or anything. On the other, I think I've got some sort of psychological block against disliking an episode with Nikola in it. There were certainly some good lines, and this feels like a setup for something better. I'll hold off final judgement until I see the followup. As a Pirates fan, gotta love Helen's line... "Hello beastie" ;D

  • Thanks for this upload, its strange to see a tv series this great and not running foul of bad scripts!

Smallville eat your heart out, THIS is what makes a great series!

  • 6:37 potc 2 reference ^^

  • @knails Second time in this series that she uses that line. Thanks for the upload.

  • love 7:42

  • Gotta love Tesla, :3

  • as always I love Sanctuary...its my only TV...since I don't have it... show I get to watch each Saturday... while the season runs so LivHanna I thank you from the bottom of my heart...

  • u got to love nikola :))

  • So we haven't gotten rid of Nikola? I hope not. They may be on "opposite" sides but Nikola ALWAYS has his own agenda so if they really think about it they probably aren't on so opposite sides as they think.

  • Appreciate the vid, thanks.

  • Thanks for uploading!!! What a great ep! And yay for Niko not being a baddie!! And there were tons of Teslen moments in this!! ;) :D

  • thanks you for posting this, I'm so happy that Tesla is back can't wait for next week episode :)

  • thanks for posting this! and yay nikola :)

  • I liked this episode, if for no other reason than having a serious soft spot for Tesla! I always love his episodes. The banter between him and Helen is great, and I like how Henry usually manages to out-think him. Jonathon Young plays the smug bastard beautifully!

  • I liked this episode more than the last one. There were not enough abnormals in the last one.

  • Awesome episode, thanks LivHanna! :D

  • ooo i hope we get to see big guy kick some butty next week!

  • Thanks for the uploads...

  • I, for one, loved this episode. As always, it was great to see Nikola again. Throw in a few plot twists and funny lines coupled with a good story, and you've got a good episode.

  • Not as good as the previous eps. Sorry to say. But very entertaining anyway. Thanks Always LivHanna

  • I liked this ep

  • I thought this episode was okay, and worth watching. I was excited to see Nikola! I'm glad he and Magnus are on the same side (sort of) because of the end of the episode

  • Okay, seriously only two others that I liked which I forgot to add to my post:

8:51 - 9:07 It's cutes how Henry falls foward and Tesla stops him. And how Henry is stuck there looking like a little kid. :D

9:34 - 9:56 I love how Helen runs over and holds Henry as her son. ;P

Sadly, these small points do not redeem the rest of the episode.

  • Nikola is pretty cool but you never know what side he's playing for. A stong combination of his own desires being curved by his love and respect for Helen

  • Oh Helen, I LOVE YOUR HAIR (amongst other things).

  • thanks for uploading the episodes!!!

  • We get Tesla back next week, too!

  • @Drowninginantimatter are you sure Tesla is in the next ep?

  • @Drowninginantimatter I looked online and it doesn't mention him for tonight's episode. Would be totally sweet though.

  • Honestly, this was the first Sanctuary episode I've ever skimmed. I just couldn't be bothered to watch the whole thing. It wasn't above par, I'm not one of those people who finds Nikola fun to watch, and it just didn't keep me watching. Not impressed. I hope they step up their game soon.

  • @Hawkalina You and me both. This episode just didn't fly at all. I normally like Tesla because of moments between him and Helen like in Awakening. But there's nothing here that spikes my interest AT ALL! Even filler episodes are better than this slight "trying to continue" the whole rogue / Hollow Earth predicament.

  • @SpiritHawk7 Glad someone agrees. :-) Yeah, occasionally Tesla can be fun, although I have to say I'm not even remotely a fan of the whole 'take a famous physicist and turn him into a vampire/Magneto' idea. Someone was drunk that day. And honestly, this episode is just appalling. I was all excited when they said they were going to an abnormal research facility - thinking it would be a GREAT opportunity to bring Ashley back, but honestly, I feel that this season is just running downhill. :-(

  • @Hawkalina I'm cool with Tesla as a vamp, but everything in this episode was recycled material. This ep turned out way different than what I thought. A giant time node, seriously? I understand the seriousness of the Sanctaury going rogue, but every ep so far they have to mention it. I'm getting REALLY tired of that excuse, it's like beating a dead horse. As far as Ashley, we're in the same boat. Ep after ep goes by with sooooo many areas to bring her up. This ep would have been PERFECT!

  • @SpiritHawk7 IKR? I'm very annoyed that they wrote her out without delving into her background even a little. I mean, she had heaps of potential, for flashbacks, memories of growing up in the Sanctuary, hidden abnormalness emerging WITHOUT creepy Kabal peeps... and speaking of the Kabal (I think I'm spelling it wrong) what even happened to them? There was one majot plotline which just got suddenly dropped. This episode was much more like a bad version of Dr Who, with the rift and everything.

  • @Hawkalina Agreed! The whole offscreen wipe out of the Cabal was WAY too easy. Two people simply were able to take them out? And no revival what so ever since then? Seriously?! I really would have loved seeing into Ashley's backstory. Your idea about a hidden abnormalness emerging is cool! :D I really wanted to see more mother/daughter bonding moments bc we never got to see that, it was like Ashley was always sent off somewhere. We didn't get to see much of her personally doing things. :(

  • @SpiritHawk7 Yup. It was all pretty terrible after those first couple of season 2 episodes. Also, Magnus doesn't seem distraught enough for a mother who lost her only daughter. I mean, barely an episode after Ashley died, they were all laughing about that creepy Hero guy in the suit. It's a bit annoying. *sigh* I really hope it gets better, otherwise I'll just slowly die of boredom and disappointment, xD. Not to mention the whole Hollow Earth thing has dragged on too long.

  • @Hawkalina (Repost - It fits here better as a new response) Same sentiments. I'm used to shows where sometimes they carry a theme for like 3 eps, but then move on and reference it later. This whole season revolving around something that happened last season is grating on me. It didn't follow taking infrequent trips and visiting liaisons to Praxis. Instead, this path opens a bad door for future plot options. Spending so much time creates a drop off and disconnect for new seperate material.

  • @SpiritHawk7 Yeah. At this point, I'm not actually sure what they could do to save it. It feels like the whole 'rescuing abnormals' thing from the first ep and others in that series has kind of gone kaplooey. It's just not so fun anymore, and they have no team! Not to mention I suspect they dragged on the Praxis storyline for so long because they don't actually have any new ideas.

  • @Hawkalina It isn't fun anymore, especially the over use of Will. What's up with Biggie lately all wrapped up with himself about more people like him? Yes, they are abnormals, but they aren't even your own species! How are they yours?! What makes the difference between before & after Hollow Earth? Biggie needs to get off his sappy rock. I felt there were tons of abnormals out there in the world, but now they make it seem like not so much and only HE abnormals are important or exist. :(

  • @SpiritHawk7 Yeah, Will is fairly useless and a lot big-headed lately. And LOL, I wasn't even paying attention to Biggie this ep. Actually, I don't pay attention to him at all, really. But I have to say I liked him best when he was like besties with Ashley and Henry, not being all angsty all the time. And you're totally right about the 'normal' abnormals not seeming to matter anymore. I liked that boy with the snake thing in the pilot! They need more kid abnormals, I reckon. That would be good.

  • @Hawkalina I didn't know you replied to my other comment until today. They've stuck to the Magnus/Will pairing wayyyyyy to much, it's boring. Will's definitely at the bottom of my list. He was supposed to be the 'audiences' pov (asking questions) but now, he just sticks his head into everyones personal space. Why the hell does he have to know EVERYTHING about Magnus? Then gets upset when he finds out something new to him "why didn't you tell me!?" It's called personal history. He's just nosey.

  • @SpiritHawk7 Yeah, it's actually getting kinds creepy, considering she's 300 and looks 40, LOL. And you're right about Will being 'audience view'. He was the expo character - he had no purpose but asking questions. But now he's blinking irritating. Not to mention how annoying it was in season 1 when Magnus made WILL 'Sanctuary heir' instead of Ashley or Henry. Basically, he's ridiculous, and his girlfriend is worse. GAH.

  • @Hawkalina As I rewatch S1, I can't believe how impersonal he was! In Requiem he sticks his head into Helen & Ashley's family business, and interrogates/accuses Henry in The Five. If it's someones personal business, you leave it alone. Yes, I want to know, but let them tell it, not someone pokin' around where they shouldn't. He's her protege, but that doesn't make him 2nd, he doesn't know ANYTHING! Ashley's 2nd. Magnus is 274 now. She was always mentioned 1 year younger than she was.

  • @SpiritHawk7 You're right! I never noticed that before, but he's a very annoying nosy person. And in that dream scape too, he was always spying on Magnus!

    Oops. I lost count. xD

  • @Hawkalina Another one off the top of my head, in Awakening, when Kate's working our in Ashley's old room, Will walks in wanting her to spill her business, yet Will NEVER gives any of his, EVER during nosey "sessions" like these! (Though Kate did need to vent, Will just wanted to know) Gah, I just want to throw him out the window! You're here for new arrivals and patients, not the team! Leave them alone! >:}{

    S'all good ;)

  • @SpiritHawk7 Yes! GAH. And he's not even a good psychologist or whatever he's supposed to be. Like in the second episode (I forget what it's called...) when he's trying to psycho-analyse those three slightly creepy girls who had been entombed for a millenia or something - he was rubbish at it! HONESTLY. I think they a) need Ashley back, b) need Kate back, c) need to try and improve on Will and d) need a permanent new teamy character so that we don't get bored.

  • Comment removed

  • @SpiritHawk7 No, yeah, I was going to agree about the whole rogue theme being dragged out, but I ran out of characters. xD. You're completely right, they have carried the Hollow Earth invasion thing too far. Not to mention Hollow Earth itself was introduced way, way back. I have to admit that I'm bored of it. I'm also bored of Adam Worth, and the writing out of all the good female characters (I don't think Kate or Ashley are returning). It feels like it's turning into the 'Magnus and Will' show.

  • love Nikola and his surprises :D
