I used to use mac in elementary and middle school. My dad was a coach and he had to use the blue seethrough comps. He doesn't like Apple. He upgraded to something called "Classic"?? It took away the MacinTalk that I loved to play with! :(
Macs have has the same startup chime for the past 14 years, isn't it time they update it? My G5 doesn't have a death chime, but it makes beeping noises when you install incorrect RAM.
I'VE HAD MACS SINCE THE EARLY 80's when they first came out, and I never had a problem that was as serious as the ongoing problems I have been having with my intel imac duo processor early 2008 model. It is one series of problems and Apple Care addresses them piecemeal as my contract is running out. I needed a new hard drive, now I need a new internal power supply and they sent a power cord not the internal power supply to the repair co. and I had to have the failed optical drive replaced...
In addition, now I need a new logic board. Why didn't Apple just send me a new computer that has been checked out before passing over it because as I was told they only inspect every 1,oooth because they got too big. What about inspecting every one of them? I have all Apple products, have always been a loyal customer and now I am infuriated. I may sell my Apple stock too! I will not buy another Apple product if this is how they operate -- selling inferior products from Japan and China.
Wow I wish I had those positive sounding ones instead of :10 to haunt me during my childhood. And uhh we had a Performa I think but it played that death sound. CD-ROM and floppy side by side
Ah yes, back when apple had a good sense of humour. I used all of these macs in one from or another and I have fond memories of them. Thanks for putting this video up!
you forgot the macintosh ii crash chime. and the se/30 does not make that chime, it makes the same one as the mac ii. Iicx was the one with that chime you put for the se/30.
Ever since I got my 2Ghz Core 2 Duo iMac in 2006 to replace a 1.25Ghz Mac Mini G4, everything was so much easier and you will boost your productivity. Plus the flexibility to boost other OS's if you need to. The Mid range Mac Mini has very decent specs @ 4GB Ram, 320GB HDD, & a 2.53 Core 2 Duo Chip. My G4 Mini is hooked to Airport Base Station via Ethernet. I just use it to backup everything via File-Sharing & control it with Screen-Sharing.
Never, Only one thats mine is the White iMac in the Beginning.
Those are all pics of macs found between Wikepedia and Flickr, like said in the description, my intention was to to just Match the sound to whatever Mac it belonged to.
I only have:
*17inch 2Ghz Core 2 Duo iMac (3gb RAM)
*12inch iBook G4 1.2Ghz (768MG RAM)
*Mac Mini G4 1.25Ghz (1GB RAM)
* An inoperable PowerBook 5300CS (Specs Unknown)
*And a PC I Custom built with a 2.8Ghz HT P4 which I made because I was bored.
Too Bad the 5200 one doesn't have an evil laugh at the end

I used Mactracker for reference. Shows me info of every mac and applicable sounds to every model. I applied the sounds to whatever Mactracker lists.
You may be right and mactracker may be wrong but I don't know.
Check it out for yourself. It's a free app available for Mac & Windows.
