  • @Spankyward the govt killed multiupload so i have alternate links in the vid description. try rebooting and signing in again.

  • the link to the multiupload never works and the market apk's that I do get loaded on the fire say "You must add an account to the device to cintinue" But when you hit yes it goes no where.

  • How do i transfer the files from my pc to my kindle?

  • great, all works perfect now i have my mexicanized kindle fire yeahhh

  • Okay, got the links and Android Market. When I try to launch Android Market it gives me: "The application Market Opener (process ws.munday.KFMarkeyIcon) has stopped unexpectedly.please try again.

  • @iiBass try rebooting. if that doesnt work reinstall the marketopener.. thats what is crashing for some reason

  • @nat3mil Did both, neither worked.

  • @iiBass it must be ur market then, you can try reinstalling the framework and market as exactly as described again

  • @nat3mil Yeah, I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks.

  • Cannot open file, what the fuck?

  • Are there alternative links cause neither will open when I download

  • @FreeYourMindForLlife more links will be up in a few minutes..

  • @nat3mil Let people know that you can use the links in the desciption on your computer and tranfer them to the kindle folder..It will work then.

  • After downloading the root explorer and selecting it from the notifications bar, I get the following error message: "Cannot open file" and nothing happens.

Anyone got an idea what's going on?

  • @estherosp redownload the file, try the alternate link in the video description

  • @nat3mil Thanks for the tip, but I've tried that already and I keep getting the same error. Any other thoughts?

  • @estherosp what is the name of the file you are downloading?

  • @nat3mil Wow, this is weird. After trying downloading the root explorer several times, every time the way shown in the video, it all of a sudden worked! :)

Now I'm trying to download the android market files and can't. The link shown in the video get's me nowhere and if I try to download via the link in the description I can't because I've "reached my daily download limit". So I'll have to wait until tomorrow to finish?

  • @estherosp ill pm you an another alternate dl link ;)

  • @nat3mil I'm having the same problem. I've downloaded the file from the notes 5 times. Same error, over and over.

  • @MrTimHines new links will be up in a few minutes

  • ATTENTION***** If you had the problem of clicking the "Mount R/W" button and nothing happening, just do a hard restart(hold the power button for 20 seconds, then turn it back on) and go back to the system folder/app and click it again. *SHOULD fix*

  • yes it works great, im playing minecraft!

  • i have the button Mount R/w but when i press it nothing happens it dosnt change

  • @samrudi found the fix restart your kindle lol

  • i might just have to giv up cuz i downloaded androidmarket off of that link in the description frum my kindle and went to sd card then download i extracted the file androidmarket and wen i clicked the extracted form of the market file it showed nothing but my family folder

  • I'm the same. Downloaded and installed the first file ok but the multiupload link in "not available"

  • @roddddders which file? redownload it

  • @nat3mil I copied onto kindle via PC and can see all files

  • @roddddders so look like I'm all good to go

  • @roddddders BTW I am in NZ (got the kindle yesterday and found your video's.) I have rooted it and now added the android market thanks to your instructions. pretty much there now so thanks Keep up the good work!

  • @mrdrizz69 try downloading the files to your computer, extracting them, then tranfer to ur kindle... somethings wrong with root explorers extracting

  • Comment removed

  • so i got through the root tutorial, and got through this tutorial with no issues. But every time I go to open the marketplace it force closes with a message: "The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Thanks for any insight.

  • @robyandamy something might have gone wrong, you should go through the procedure again installing framework and market. make sure the permissions are correct

  • @nat3mil could it have been from where i couldnt get google inc to install properly during rooting. sorry for the newb question

  • i cant get the android market in multiupload because its closed...where can i get it?

  • @nat3mil

i have already rooted my kindle fire according to your video on it and when i try downloading the root explorer according to the link in the comments on my kf it says cannot open file. do you know what could be causing this and how i can fix it?

    thank you

    great videos btw

  • @PANDAxBOMBER try downloading the files on your computer, then transferring them over

  • why dont i have the 3 apps in my extracted folder!!!??? please help asap please!!!

  • @Deere8245r try download the file on ur computer, extracting it, then moving the files to your kindle

  • @nat3mil Just a Quick question but,,,,,how do u do that :3?

  • @nat3mil the transferring the zip file from computer to kindle

  • @nat3mil NEVERMIND Thank you :3

  • @feelingze1 no that wouldnt be the reason. i would try reinstalling the framework and market

  • Worked great thanks!

  • Finally got Android Market working after following this guide. Thanks!

  • when i download root explorer it says cannot open

  • I rebooted the device and the Kindle read, "press power button for recovery," and showed a yellow triangle with a fire icon in the middle. I pressed the power button, and nothing happened. At this point, I rebooted. The device would not get passed this screen, and my PC would not recognize the Kindle. I presume I bricked my device, however (as I do not have any experience in this field) I honestly have no idea what I did, nor do I know where to go next. Any suggestions? Please help!

  • @mjh2u that triangle thing is fire fire fire, you must have flashed it when rooting. its suppose to show up every time you reboot. if it doesnt get past that screen however then youll need to go to my how to install twrp video, and read the video description on how to get it unstuck. you arnt bricked, you just need to tell your kindle what to do :)

  • @mjh2u

Many thanks for the awesome effort. I followed all the steps and got to the very end. But the app won't lunch when I click "YES" to "You must add an account to the device to continue".

How can I get to launch the app?

  • @feelingze1 try rebooting

  • @nat3mil

I have rebooted both KF and computer many times but still can't go beyond "You must add an account to the device to continue" to launch.

Could the fact that I exited after rooting instead of flashing the firefire bootloader be responsible for this behaviour?

Please, what other steps can I take to get this android market to launch?

    Thanks nat3mil!

  • OK I figured it out. OMG thanks so so much I really appreciate sec

  • When I go to install the market.apk it says application not installed. What do I do.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh my goodness ... I did it! Wouldn't the quilting ladies be impressed!!! Thanks so much for your wonderful videos!!! I could not have done it without you!!! Like I said in the comment section of your other video on how to root, I'm a 52 year old Mother/Nana/quilter, so if I can do this, anyone can! Wow!!!

  • Great instructions...Very straightforward, thorough and well paced.

  • If this helps anybody, I foxed my Kindle only downloading an empty folder by downloading on my comp, then emailing it to myself.

  • My android market thingy only downloads at a couple kilobytes, and is empty!

  • @Mikewooldrma govt took down multiupload, use the alternate links in video description

  • @nat3mil Now the Root Explorer keeps prompting me to restart it; i have restarted it multiple times but it keeps doing the same thing

  • @nat3mil "Root Explorer has not yet managed to obtain root access. Because of issues with Superuser, this often happens the first time the app is run but is usually fine from then on. Click OK and restart the app to try again. Make sure you respond correctly to the Superuser prompt."

  • The URL that is supposed to take me to the "Multiupload" webpage does not work. What to do now?

  • @Nmarino1002 i would reistall root explorer and make sure it has permission in the super user app

  • I have the mount r/w button but when i press it nothing happens. I am pretty sure I have root. I can't paste the market apk because is says it is read only. What do I do? This is my 4th kindle fire that I have rooted so I don't think that is the problem. The other 3 were in January before the links changed because of the government.

  • @westmotocrosschamp just download on computer, extract, then transfer files to kindle

  • Having trouble finding the extracted file/s. I've tried everything in your trouble shooting listing. Maybe the android market place download site that your link was idk please help asap

  • @nat3mil *remove

  • @waxingpoetic that is firefirefire , u must have chosen to flash it while rooting . that is what its suppose to do. to remember it u would have to flash all the way back to stock

  • This worked great. When I rebooted, I got a splash screen with a yellow caution sign with fire in the middle that said Press power button for recovery. Is this going to happen every time I reboot? I did this tut immediately following rooting my Fire and flashing the FireFireFire boot loader. If FireFireFire causes this problem, is it possible to remove it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks for the awesome videos.

  • many thanks works perfict u rock

  • The multiupload page won't load for me

  • First of all, thanks so much for these videos. It all worked perfectly on my Kindle. I just got done installing Marketplace. The only thing is I can't download anything. After I select a program, it just hangs. The Kindle doesn't even add a notification at the top left to indicate that it's downloading. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • @loafungusOM try a reboot

  • has worked perfectly for me.... I am very happy with your work fella Thankyou so much :-)

  • Has anyone had an issue with not being able to see all the Apps available in Android App Store when using a "rooted" KF compared to a regular device.

When using Android Market through KF to download Angry Birds, I only have the choice of Angry Bird Seasons. I don't have the original nor Rio available. However, when I use a normal Android device, those choices show up. Various other apps like Twitter, etc, also don't show up. Any clue as to why that might be the case?

    Many thanks!

  • @robxfong00 yeah its because the kindle isnt even suppose to have android market, so it doesnt know all the compatible apps. if you need an app thats not on there, you can always side load it

  • @a211709 either, doesn't matter. If u do on computer u then need to transfer files over
