  • do not just push the piston in with out clamping the brake line if there is trash in the line you can push it into the abs valve and stop it up so clamp the line and open the bleeder valve then push it in and then when it is in take clamp off and let brake fliud free bleede to get air out if any

  • @diamondwpd1 If you are worried about trash in the line, you need to change the fluid. Otherwise your brakes aren't going to work all that well to begin with and the moisture in the line can cause the brakes to be much less effective in high demand.

  • I can never manage to get the caliper to fit back onto the rotor.How did you get it on so easily?

  • @Hirosada If you pressed the caliper piston in all the way, then either the caliper is not good (if the piston won't fully seat) or the pads have shims on them. If the pads have thin metal backs, remove the backs. If that isn't the issue, then I would consider the caliper isn't fully seating and needs to be replaced.

  • @bill69allthetime You are welcome. It is tempting to throw those shims away but that could cause some issues. I've said more than a few cuss words because of shims like this.

  • Obviously you know what you are doing. But for viewers who are using this as a guide, I suggest using the old break pad when pushing the piston in with the clamp to avoid damage to the new pad.
