@Dogen if i plan on making short trips-about 100 km (60 miles) with a passenger ... do you recomand this bike ? Another question is what is the fuel consumtion at a constant 100 kmh ?
Thank you Mr. Kevin! That is very thoughtful of you. Like you always say, "Never settle for less than Phenomenal." I always live up to thar expectation.
Hi Kevin. You know my brother Sebastian. I'm Andrea, nice to meet you! Nice bike, it's cute/awesome. May I ask where you got it? I like it and I want one just like it so I can ride it to school.
so wat was yur first bike thats a sik 250 just dont understand japanese cards the gates openning as in toll booths or something highway lanes just for u? Also is there a way to change the front fender or get better one or theres no need? Also im gonna get a bike n just stomped on which one to get. a 600? or a 250r i mean the 250 is so agile would that be the major reason to get it? or 600 just for power but can u manuver like in the 250r rathr then 600 like from cars being to close as in swirvn
@stealthsniper96 no it's call buyin a wreck bike for $2000 and put a $1000 into it and sell it to kid's like u and tellin u it's a new bike for $6000 to $8000
@hunterxstunter You are a poor guy. Its not dogens Fault that you need a 750 to compensate your tiny dick. Okay, maybe its your only option that girls look at you, when you drive your biiiig 750... but hey, just let others drive theirs without flaming :) You know, i got a 250, too and i overtake nearly all those 600cc, 750cc a.s.o. Its not the ccm you got, its the driving skills...you know ?!....
Nice man. I ordered the same windscreen and am having a heck of a time installing it. For some reason I cant get the last hole to matchup with the bike. It just doesn's seem like it will fit. Did you have any problems with this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
yea man it took a bit off time, I think I had to try doing it in several different orders before it finally worked--I also had to slightly bend the screen. Good luck!
Nice bike. Some reason, (it sounds very silly but) every time when I pass by the guy riding the bike like that with that kind of helmet on, I always think like "Wow. Is he Kamen Rider?" I know it's silly but I think I liked that Japanese TV show. lol. Anyway, that's a very nice bike, Dogen. Enjoy. :)
I just got a call that my 2010 ninja is built and ready for pickup... I'm so excited! Anyway, I really like mods you did... the black windscreen looks wicked and I'm looking at getting a black rear tire hugger kinda like yours. Here is my question:
Are you planning on getting new exhaust? I see LOTS of people do this... I'm not really sure if its worth doing... just wondering what YOU think about it.
a 250 CC bike will never be fast enough to beat, say, a 600cc, no matter how much you put into it. That being said, if you want your bike to be more of an extension than yourself, and you like modifying it, I would recommend a slip on exhaust.
A full system exhaust may have a bit more oomf to it, but in all reality, it's not going to make that much difference. Go for the slip on, and it'll make your bike sound 10X cooler. I'll probably do it some day too.
This may be a silly question, but if I were to go to Japan and purchase an A-tech carbon fiber rear wheel hugger could I then send it to my home address here in the States?
Thank you. The helmet lock isn't stock, but it only costs about $50. It latches onto the two small metal rings of the helmet cord--I've never had any troubles with it!
OMG HAHAHA I never knew about that!! I thought you were mistakenly referring to the hooks under the tail of the bike. Well that's pretty sweet...I wonder if you could manage to shimmy the helmet out though? Thanks for the heads up man!
LOL I know right, I was just about to buy one on eBay when I saw that vid. Saved myself 30 bucks.
You couldn't shimmy anything, but someone could just cut off the bands. I'm gonna try to wrap the bands around the seat cowl and lock both ends. If that works, cutting becomes much harder.
So how long have you been in Japan dude? I was thinking of doing an English teaching program there when I graduate! Either there or Hong Kong/Thailand.
I studied abroad here for a year when I was a junior in college. Now I'm teaching through the JET program, which is a ton of fun. I highly recommend it!
And sorry for making another post, but was is the name of the song you used? It has a really addicting tune too it, and I really want to know what it's called.........please. ^_^

Oh what an amazing bike. I can't wait to get my full license so I can get one of these. Gonna get it in Green tho.

you sure could, but I ordered my part online through my bike dealership...so it might get kind of complicated!
Dogen 2 years ago
whats that etc thing for again?
wowcrazy70 2 years ago
it's part of the high way system in Japan -- basically allows for auto pay at the toll booths, as well as a discount on weekends.
Dogen 2 years ago
@Dogen thats fucking awesome
wowcrazy70 2 years ago
That's a sweet Ninja. I like how you kept it clean and subtle and didn't put any tacky wheel stripes, etc.
Is the Helmet lock stock? Does it actually hold it well?
cerealkilla4eva 2 years ago
Thank you. The helmet lock isn't stock, but it only costs about $50. It latches onto the two small metal rings of the helmet cord--I've never had any troubles with it!
Dogen 2 years ago
Awesome, but you do know that there's a hook under the seat cowl for holding the helmet too right?
What's the advantage to this one?
cerealkilla4eva 2 years ago
Those are simply hooks--they don't provide any kind of locking system. The non-stock part actually locks with the provided key.
Dogen 2 years ago
Nope, you just attach it to the hook and put the cowl on top to lock it. Check out the first favourite on my profile for a video on it.
Anyway keep us updated on the bike and the mods, Cheers!
