Max 2010 has this color by default. Older versions you can go: Customize->Customize User Interface. Choose the 'Color' tab and where you see "Elements:", choose "Viewports". In the list box below, find "Viewport Background" and edit it on the right as you wish.
Are the wheels are spinning? Im still refining a rig like that on my own, up so far I came up with:
degToRad((X_Position/(2*pi*radius))*360)
I'm probably going to use the ExposeTM helper and some TCB controller to make the wheels spin locally, regardless of the position. Still a work in progress.
Loved your rig, pretty simple and seems extremelly effective! Congratulations!
ok i saw ur clip first off its feakin awsome and im guessing ur using a lookat constraint but how r u keeping the body of the car oriented to the path cause i have to keep key framing it and the back wheel and how do u rotate the wheels perfectly
Hey this is really good - really smart.

i guess you can do it the same way you make a pair of eyes follow an object. Its only wheels instead.
