Whats wrong with it? You probably redlined/drove the balls off a 10+ year old engine, that's what happened.

Seriously any engine (even an SR) that old will fall apart if constantly pushed.

Getting an SR and running the crap out of it will only net you the same results.

I suggest a rebuild or swap in an SR with a fresh rebuild.

@ka20e This may be true but so far my 20 year old KA24de is taking the abuse pretty well. Many clutch drops, stupid moves, a few redlines and beating the hell out of it and it keeps going. No knocks, yet...... LOL Eventually it will come. Then I will just sell the car and buy something else. 240sx has to be the most boring car I have driven just being honest. My 280z was so much more fun, I cant wait till I have my 240z running!
