Both of these cigars I keep in my humidors and they are great! The best way to at least temporarily cure the ammonia odor is to blow through the cigar, which will "superheat" the burning tobacco, burning off the ammonia and enhancing the flavor.

NO, he SAID amonia is a good flavor! What good is it that its a good tobacco if you don't know its amoniac till you're smoking it, & its dominated by AWFUL amonia taste! I've gotten several cigars lately, ruined by amonia due to insufficient aging AFTER ROLLING!!!

Well kind of.. what was meant was: when the tobacco ferments it releases ammonia.. in the most flavorful tobaccos.. especially in Esteli, you get this pungent aroma which indicates a good tobacco.. So, its not a "good flavor " so to speak, as much as it is a good indicator of quality tobacco. AND, this is also an indicator that the cigar itself could age even longer and become even more balanced. I think I am going to put a few away till next year! thanks for pointing this out..

I currently have a Lot 23 aging also. They are great now, but age never hurts.
