  • how mutch did you pay for it ??

and is it street legal in the EU ??

  • @anteracmacash... 18000€ for a full restored Jeep (WWII frame and post war engine and body)... But you can get pretty good jeep for 10000€, or try to find a restorable wreck around 5000€... It's street legal in France, when in good shape...

  • @sauciflard2901 ok tnx...shit, now I got to get a job :D:D

  • 54 horses of neck snapping power!

  • @stitrohccs 54 Horses ? You're wrong, she gives at least 65hp, no less !!

  • Hey............you must have warmed it up...or have warm weather........they usually never start that quickly.......mine takes up to 10 mins of coaxing during a cold period if its not run for say a week.

  • Maybe there is still a bit of Omaha Beach sand in a blind spot of the frame. If these Jeeps were able to talk....

  • It isn't leaking... it's just marking its territory :D

  • What's with the flag? Are most of the parts original from the American factory or has it been completely rebuilt under the hood in france?

  • Well I meant that even if there is an american flag in the garage, this video was recorded in France... That's what's with the flag, no offense against the US flag, of course not (!).

Actually only the frame is 100% sure to be US. The body and the engine are French. It's obvious that there is other US parts in the car, but it's hard to see the difference from the french one. This car has been rebuilt in 1962 by the French Army, and they used parts from both origins...

  • Then it has been restored by a private garage in 2006.

Well, it's not the "Museum Beauty" with all the originals parts right from the WWII... But I guess it's better to have a rebuilt Jeep if you want to use it as a true 4x4 : we would never ride a original Jeep as we do with our Jeep...

    :)

  • Oh i wasn't accusing you of anti-american comments, i was just curious about the old Revolutionary flag and why you had it.

yeah, it would be tough to maintain all 1940s parts and still be able to enjoy the vehicle.

  • Well, when my Dad was in Philadelphia in july 1976 people were selling Revolutionary flags and he bought a couple of them (not the same: one is on the garage's door and an other is against the wall, you can see it when the jeep left). They are reproductions of the revolutionnary flags that your government made in 1776. The second flag (against the wall) is different : it has "76" in the middle of a 13 stars arc. Sometimes we put them on the jeep's radio antenna, that's why they're in the garage.

  • cool!!!! i want one of those SO bad.

  • Well, they start being rare... But you can find some in the US, and more in France.
