Shonen Knife are a recent discovery for me, and I must say they are quite a find. Certainly Japan's premier all girl pop-punk trio, and inspired so much by the Ramones!
China is on drums. Sadly she died in 2005 in a van accident in NJ. She was touring with DMBQ at the time. She is great! I love her style and her drum fills. She is also featured on a few songs on the 'Live in Osaka' cd. I am so happy to see this. Thank you to the person who posted! Shonen Knife forever!

we will soon see a newer incarnation including somebody who looks cool to me now: which includes the seemingly wild and crazy Emi Chan...???
what do you think????????????

@dcassick Am I the only one who sees a facial resemblance between Emi and Mana?

Bloody great versions of both tunes. It's cool to see some live footage with Mana on drums --
she was an incredible drummer and really tightened up SK's sound. She is truly missed by
all Shonen Knife freaks.

WoW great versions of both songs. Twist Barbie sounds so cool sped up and a little more punk-rockish. =)
Wish they would tour the US again sometime.

a long long time ago, don mcclean asked "do you believe in rock n' roll?" as long as shonen knife is around the answer is yes.
