  • the more i see the more i like

  • Last week marked 6 years since Mana's Nov 4th death in 2005 :(

  • So good!

  • the drums..Etsuko was amazing, of course, but Emi is doing just fine, too

  • we will soon see a newer incarnation including somebody who looks cool to me now: which includes the seemingly wild and crazy Emi Chan...???

    what do you think????????????

  • @dcassick Am I the only one who sees a facial resemblance between Emi and Mana?

  • They know Americans get a kick out of the horns.

  • That looked fab, and I wish I'd been there.

  • SK..I think I love you .....

no wait ..I do love you!! :)

    YOU ROCK !!

    and a very adorable too..

  • Bloody great versions of both tunes. It's cool to see some live footage with Mana on drums --

she was an incredible drummer and really tightened up SK's sound. She is truly missed by

    all Shonen Knife freaks.

  • YES WE ALL MISS HER.....BLESS HER.

  • @alieninsertion I think freaks is a pretty good discription of Shonen Knife fans.

  • @garretguidry1 I prefer the term "Knife Collectors" ;)

  • there sisters

  • Atsuko and Naoko are sisters the others arent

  • WoW great versions of both songs. Twist Barbie sounds so cool sped up and a little more punk-rockish. =)

Wish they would tour the US again sometime.

  • a long long time ago, don mcclean asked "do you believe in rock n' roll?" as long as shonen knife is around the answer is yes.

  • What a great sentiment :) (Id love to quote that on my SK webpage if youd let me)

  • Hey didnt that girl on bass use to play drums?

  • yes before Michie retired

  • yes dignanphoto you're right !!! China was brillant on drums !!!

  • I was fortunate to see SK play live back in 1993. Great stuff and it made me a fan for life!

  • at least they aren't singing about hot chocolate and gyoza anymore. shonen knife are amazing!!

  • Shonen Knife are a recent discovery for me, and I must say they are quite a find. Certainly Japan's premier all girl pop-punk trio, and inspired so much by the Ramones!

  • China is on drums. Sadly she died in 2005 in a van accident in NJ. She was touring with DMBQ at the time. She is great! I love her style and her drum fills. She is also featured on a few songs on the 'Live in Osaka' cd. I am so happy to see this. Thank you to the person who posted! Shonen Knife forever!
