Like I said it was awhile ago but no I don't believe mine did, the only model of max for that gen which always came with the bose was the GLE, option on the SE and not available on the GXE. I believe that is correct.

one way to tell if its an SE or not is on the 95 and 96 maximas, is the white guages if there not white than its not an SE
