  • me acuerdo cuando nos besamos en mi cuarto viendo este video ❥

  • Comb your face!

  • i like this tune...

  • is it weird that i wanna bang those cats?

  • it's been

    Dec 25 1985

  • "The card-castle comfort of America." What a relevant lyric.

  • Perfect

  • three, two, one... lights, camera, transaction...

  • maik jajajajajj hair XD

  • Words...

  • Philip K. Dick is my favorite author, I like how they reference him

  • By the way, one could gather that this song is about a dystopian future from the writers it references. All these writers are famous for writing books, that give an example of what the world can become, and in contrast what it could be. Also pick up a book people =/, the song isn't about cocaine. That's insulting to George Orwell, and Phillip K Dick. ( I would say Aldous Huxley, but he was a renowned for using coke.) Btw I am at work writing this, and yes I am bored. buzz off

  • Orwell's 1984 is referenced in the chorus, but this song also references Aldous Huxley, with "chemical comfort," which I am guessing is "SOMA." It also references one of the most under recognized writers Phillip K Dick with the line the electric sheep are dreaming of your face/fate, which is from the title of his book Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Please check out Phillip K Dick, Aldous Huxley, and George Orwell, and If you don't like reading books then at lease look up their messages.

    ... thoughts?

  • The song is a reference to George Orwell. The C.O.C.A.I.N.E. is just a coincidence. The title of this song spawned from a long plane ride where Incubus watched talk shows on mute, and made up their own scenarios. I play that game too<3

  • I wonder if this was played on M.T.V at one time. That'd be ironic..

  • @sk8sk8ss yes, it was.... I saw it on MTV when it came out for first time

  • @sk8sk8ss Actually here in Mexico it was on heavy rotation

  • @sk8sk8ss it so was lolz

  • @sk8sk8ss yes it did. well, at least here in latin america. was for a couple of weeks in the top 10 videos.

  • @sk8sk8ss it was played a lot of times!

  • @sk8sk8ss it was...

  • @sk8sk8ss It was number #1 on MTV Brazil countdown of music videos

  • @sk8sk8ss it was actually

  • @sk8sk8ss Yep it was.

  • @sk8sk8ss I'm a bit late but it actually WAS.

  • @sk8sk8ss yeah it was. at least here in latin america.

  • Lights cameras transactions? lol

  • @xxalmond1joyxx

lol typical meaninglessness lyrics that nonetheless sound awesome

  • @kingdarius5252 If you think any song has "meaninglessness lyrics that nonetheless sound awsome" then you are quite ignorant and need educated.

  • @reeree950

    "Need educated?" Yeah ok....

  • @reeree950

Perhaps you could use some "educated" yourself!

  • @reeree950 Well in fairness, I don't know how much meaning some of the stranger lyrics in "Across the Universe" had, yet they were still awesome. :P

  • i like how it had more views before vevo lol

  • cocaine

  • Songs are meant to speak to ones personal opinion, sure the band may have a specific mean towards the song, but doesn't specify what it means, that's the beauty of music, for your own decipher and what it means to YOU .

  • MAREEP'S DREAMING OF YOUR FATE

  • man, those cats...yum

  • NOT ONLY AMERICANS ARE BEING CONSUMED BY COMMERCIALISM IS LIKE A VIRUS EXPANDING AROUND ALL THE WORLD ... FUCK VEVO AND FUCK GAGA AND FUCK COMMERCIALS SINGER

  • TOTALLY AGREE... ITS A SHAME THAT PEOPLE DO NO T APRECCIATE THIS SONG .... ITS A PIECE OF ART ....

  • I know everyone has their own philosophy and mis-philology of this song, but the way I see it is that Incubus is giving a commentary on the sheepish mannerisms we as americans take when fed pop culture and rubbish. As he says "still and transfixed, the electric sheep are dreaming of your face. Enjoy you from the chemical, comfort of America" I simply see this as a bit on the idea that Americans are being consumed by commercialism. Also: note that the audience is a herd of raucous animals

  • @HonestHeartsClubs What does that mean? Haha

  • Entrevista mutante =x

  • drummer looks like dave grohl

  • Incubus before the Hipster wave

  • "Your foundation is canyoning. Fault lines should be worn with pride." I love that part so much.

  • some of you need to read the book before you give out opinions

  • I fucking hate furries.

  • talks shows should ever be on mute .... dont give poh to people

  • its about the book 1984 by George Orwell

  • its about the book 1984

  • Que canción tan extraña, ¡pero me gusta mucho! Me hace recorda a una persona que aún la tengo en mi mente... Make all forget that they're the moth =D

  • i dont think its a stab at religion, i think it is just showing that people get so caught up in their comfortable lives, that no one stops to question what they are being given (like 1984). idk, just my opinion anyways

  • Mike's Afro<3

  • monkeys watching TV next to a cross seems like a message too much beyond the stupidity of this song. If you're trying to make fun of religion for any stupid reason be more cleaver....

  • Come

    One

    Come

    All

    Into

    Nineteen

    Eighty-four

  • this will always be my favorite song by incubus.

  • @HelloFade2 very similar

  • This is one of my favorite Incubus songs and albums!

  • I love this song. Its a crazy theory but dont you think the world would be a better place if everybody listened to incubus?

  • also reminds me the song Barry Williams Show - Peter Gabriel, this kind of tv shows and realitys seems to be the end of civilization

  • Very good!!!

Watch also Indivíduo K - fuga

  • My teacher made us listen to this while reading George Orwell's novel. Great song.

  • Come One, Come All, Into Nineteen Eighty-four.

    C.O.C.A.I.N.E.

Anyone know if this is on purpose?

  • @Seviexe I'm pretty sure Nineteen Eighty-four is a reference to George Orwell's novel, and the "Electric Sheeps" comes from "Do androids dream of electric sheep?" by Philip K. Dick

  • @Seviexe holy shit dude, that's fuckin brilliant

  • @Seviexe Knowing Brandon Boyd, he probably wrote it for us to find on purpose, but it instead has its own meaning. I mean, Incubus is populated by musical geniuses, i wouldn't put it passed him.

  • @Seviexe I wouldn't think it is. Obviously the 1984 George Orwell theme correspond with the other lyrics. I don't see why the idea or subliminal message of COCAINE would be relevant to the song. Therefore, it's most likely is coincidence. Then again, you never know but I still highly doubt it was on purpose.

  • @Seviexe Yes. This is about the mind-numbing effects of TV talk shows. The phrase, "Come one, Come all into 1984" is not referring to the year but to a book written by George Orwell called 1984, which is about a man living in a totalitarian oligarchy.

  • @Seviexe and the F?

  • @Seviexe its funny that you intentionally leave off the F to make it seem like theres something subliminal here

  • @Seviexe The answer to that question is.

    Fuck my in the ass.

  • @Seviexe mind blowing.

  • @Seviexe who knows... most their lyrics are a beautiful mystery

  • @Seviexe DIDNT GET IT... WHY COCAINE?
