OMG!!! I've licked the chopsticks myself everytime I've used them. OK, not quite that bad but that's so stinky when it's pointed out. That's the one problem with polite culture. You never see your faux pas.

You'll be fine! Japanese people are cool as hell. You will be a godlike if you go to a public high school. As long as you are not trying to piss people off or flip out over some stupid little thing, no problem.

I don't understand why anyone would move to Japan and then want to do things their way. When in Rome, do as the Romans do applies universally.

It is not the fact that Jet Programme pearticipants want to do it their own way, but that they don't know the Japanese way. That is why this video was made.
