Come on; Edwards is a private citizen now. Lots of talented and good people have affairs; it doesn't mean they can't be good at their jobs. We hold public servants up to unfair standards. They aren't elected to be the Cleavers; they're elected to do the business of the people. And it's hard to get things done in Washington, because the "people" are basically split 50-50 down the middle by stupide wedge issues.
