  • LOVE THIS RIDE

  • jubjub0404 you should see phantom manor

  • I was little and they had the chairs they fell backwards I was screaming for my mom so hard.LOL

    Well then again,I was little

  • this updated so now in the mirrors they do stuff to you! :^D

  • @tinycrown8 I know:)

  • WDW's Haunted Mansion is the best...ºoº

  • I remember riding this... I got stuck on the part with like these ghostly opera singers or something... And it was infront of one of those pop-up faces too O_o That was the scariest thing that ever happened

  • At the end the girl is saying "Harry back"?

  • @dzenetzi "Hurry back." The story line is that there are 999 happy haunts and they're looking for a new "gloom mate" to fill the extra space. There's one condition, though: you have to be in the afterlife. So little Leota says, at the end of the ride, "Hurry back, hurry back! Be sure to bring your death certificate!"

  • @DelilahJo3 Thanks!

  • @bluecrystalmirror oh wow poor guy but very stupid to leave the vehicle

  • I wanna go to Disneeeeey!!!!:(

  • @TexasWife09 LOLLOL... That's great!

  • i hated this i was seven saying lets go on it ive seen it on youtube it dosent seem scary then i went in it screaming my head it poppoed off

  • "Now don't close your eyes

    and don't try to hide,

    or a silly spook

    may sit by your side,

    shrouded in a daft disguise,

    they pretend to terrorize."

  • I had that stupid song in my head for a week!...Grim grinning ghosts about to socializeee....

  • Wahoo! Now that Horizons at EPCOT is long gone the Haunted Mansion again returns to the top of My Favorite Attraction on Earth. It's SO good. Fantastic music throughout, the Ghost Host, the Graveyard, the Ballroom, phenomenal attention to detail, cool and dark. (Which is great on those beastly host Florida summers.)

-Sometimes near the end of the day when everyone is watching fireworks I would just keep running around and around, riding the Doombuggies in the Mansion.

  • I got stuck a couple of times. The first I was by the ballroom and the part with all the spiders. I wish I would have got stuck at the mirror part though. That would have been crazy fun.

  • Haha hurrrrrryyyy baccccck oh I love that ghost hostess

  • the backround songs have been stuck in my head since MAY

  • Classic

  • When I went on the ride back in 2008 I got stuck at the part with the bride. I do not want to hear,"Till death to us part...maahhha" ever again!!

  • @Cockerfanx10 same thing happened to me! maybe we were there at the same time...

  • @panterist Wonder if we were....;D

  • @Cockerfanx10 We got stuck at the end when she was saying goodbye. It freaked me out! :O

  • @Cockerfanx10 lol what about "I do......I did" grrrrr Your not the only one who got stuck with her:)

  • Quite possibly my favorite ride of all time. I'm usually a coaster fanatic, but this ride holds a very special place in my heart. Funny thing is, I've only been on it once, and that was back in '77. It made that much of an impact on me. I really hope to go back one day, and ride it again. Grim Grinning Ghosts, and cheers!

  • I went on that there was some loser kid that was actually scared of it! lol

  • This is m favorite ride! It's amazing when a ghost sits beside you at the end of the ride. An unforgettable experience.

  • Yeah, the imagineers did an amazing job with the Haunted Mansion. Tip of my hat to Claude Coats and Marc Davis for this.

  • I remember going to WDW when I was about... 7? I went with my family and we brought a babysitter, well since my brothers were too little to ride, I got to go with my babysitter, Ali. So we wait close to an hour for this ride, and when we got to the stretching room I about pooped my pants. The pictures turning to death, the lights going out, it was all too much for me.. So I ended up chickening out. Ali rode it, however. :)

  • Has anyone been able to find the first hidden mickey on this ride? I've found the ballroom one and the one in the graveyard, but I couldn't find the first one! It's supposed to be in a portraits frame in the first room in the ride, but I can't find it! I didn't see it in the aging portrait, or any in the stretching room, and there were too many portraits to look at carefully in the loading room!

  • in the room wehre they have the endless hallway with the candle holder floating theres the suit of armor theres a hidden mickey on it

  • @LemurCreature What do you mean by hidden Mickey´s?? Where did you get that from?? could you please explain me

  • @5blackcat12 Hidden mickeys are basically mickey-head shapes that you can find in many of the rides and attractions at the disney parks. They are often just three round objects arranged to look like a mickey head. For instance, on the dining room table in the ballroom of the haunted mansion, on one of the place settings, the 3 plates are arranged into a mickey head shape. There is a book that tells you all about hidden mickeys and gives clues about where they are in different attractions.

  • @LemurCreature oh... thanks... can you please tell me the name of the book

  • @5blackcat12 It's called Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Kept Secrets, 4th Edition

  • im soooo excited that im going to disney for the first time EVER next summer and im going there w/ my best friend and her family!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!

  • Disneyland's HM rocks! I've also been on Disney World's HM, but the atmosphere of Disneyland's freaks me out. :D

  • @5207me5207 what's the difference though ? :^|

  • i was at the end i thought there was something gonna reach to me !

  • I prefer DL's HM than WDW's. Mainly because DL's has the Haunted Mansion Holiday, looks like a real mansion, and is the original. WDW's looks more like a hotel than a mansion. It's still a good ride, but I prefer DL's more than WDW's.

  • i love the ending with the ghost in the mirror

  • i love this ride

  • Fantastic

  • The ring in the cement is gone, but I think its still in the Disneyland HM. It's funny because a castmember had to tell us the ring wasn't there because my friends and I looked at the ground near the HM for about 10 minutes.

    lol

  • this is the best ride ever. the stupidest things kept popping up and scaring me. oh well. theres stuff to look out for like when u go past the carrige in line..ur suppose to listen for horse hoofs walking. and when u walk out ur suppose to look out for a wedding ring in the cement. theres something else but i cant remember it!!! oh well.

  • didnt they update the disneyland one right after the WDW one?

  • this one was fun but not tht scary lol

wanna kno scary go to universal and go to house of horrors now thats scary!

  • I WAS IN THE MIDDLE

i was too scard to go on the end! lol

  • ya i was in the middle and the ghost was sitting on me

  • i remeber tht ride it was so cool when u look in the mirrior and there is a ghost sitting next to u

  • it wasnt even scary I just went on it 2 days ago

  • Oh wow, i remember when i was 7, and i went on that ride.. lol, i was scared for life! Even when that little lady thing at the end, was like, Hurry, back.. i thought they said something, but i forgot.

  • lol!!!

  • i love the ballroom

    Its so amazing

  • hm... I think my favorite part of this ride was the ballroom. :)

  • The mirror part is my favorite. You're a ghost in the reflection when you look in it. It's so funny.

  • dude... how did i get from WTCC's video to this??

  • ahh I'm going again next next month!

I just went a litle over a month ago too I never get sick of it!

  • i went on this before and after they remodeled it. both were great but the revamped one was more worth it to ride mainly because it spooked me out alittle bit more which is a good thing in my book.

  • ahhh i love this ride! the thing in the room is kinda creepy when you're all standing together and the painting's move...but the ride part is funn! I'm going back Decemeber....i can't wait!

  • yeah that part freaks me out oo :)

  • me tooo

  • i go on the ride every single time i go there which is alot

  • Hey disneyparks! Omg i love disney i have beeen there like 6 times and i never geet sick of it..its like i grew up with it! I know every single ride and when you update your stuff like in 2007 you were updating the haunted mansion and it was better than ever! I hope to be back there soon!!

  • The ghost dancing in the ball room is my fav part on this ride XD

  • the first part of the ride in California is a little creepy, like when you're walking down the hallway, but then the other half is funny.

  • i cried when the elevator was going down you know when the people appear in the portraits i was pounding the door with my fists but it wasnt that scary after all

  • lol that try to make it seem like its scary lol

  • I first rode it when I was like 5 or 6, my mom said I was really really scared.

Hahaha but now I love it,hahaha

  • this one girl working there hissed at my sister and my sister shouts "I LOVE YOU!"

  • i was like 4 the only time i rode this, i don't remember being scared too much (lies)

  • i havent even benn on it because it looked scary and im GLAD that i mist out im in middle school by the way

  • i loved that ride it's soo much fun :) it's not scary it's more funny =] u should ride it next time ur there

  • been there it wasnt scary more as funny =D i was like 8

  • Thank the Imagineer Marc Davis for that. He wanted it funny, while his rival Claude Coats wanted it terrifying.

  • it was more cool than it was scary. the only slightly scary part was the very first part where lightning flashes and a guy is hanging above you.

  • in the elevator?

  • well it showed these paintings on the walls and it feeled like you were falling but the paintings were moving.

  • don't the paintings change to like ghosts or something? i just remember the elevator part always freaked me out when i was little haha but it's an awesome ride

  • MY cousin is terrifed of this ride. o.0 and shes 13.

  • i don't care that u think i'm a whimp! so what! some people are scared of things that others aren't. idk i may go on the ride again but i'm not sure..... it doesn't really scare me, it just kinda freaks me out a tad bit....

  • I LOVED THAT !

  • surprisingly this ride still scares the living crap out of me!!! i get scared easily and i used to have nightmares from this ride!!!

  • Disney world and disneyland are two different parks, with two different Experiances.

No need to Bash the Park that was Created FIRST! :)

  • This ride is not scary i went on it 2 times in may and i went on it in kindegarten 2001 not scary

  • I think that I went on this ride in 2nd grade, and they were doing some promotion for Nightmare Before Christmas.

  • I like it now bc its less scary, it rocks since madem Leota floats and they took out that creepy hall way with all the ghouls that pop up..

  • I've only been to the WDW version once. :) All the other times have been Disneyland Resort California. I go to the California one about once or twice a year.

  • LOVE THIS RIDE!!!!

  • They changed some things, some people got hurt while on the ride and it was too scary.

  • I went back in 96 and it wasn't scary at all.

  • they just changed it not that long ago. after 96 that is.

  • was this the new ride that was too scary? i'm goin in about 5 days and i'm gonna be there with a 8 year old...would it be too scary?

  • No. This ride (WDW) opened in 1971. Other than some new changes they made in 2007, the ride hasn't changed at all. Your 8 year old should be fine. :)

  • i wish disneyland's had the stairs

  • They should do the disneyland one like that. (the inside) I really like the stair part. It's cool.

  • I have a neighbor that has a house that looks excatly like haunted mansion

  • one of the best rides

  • lol i just watched the trailer and was like oh wow this looks like a really cool ride, but then grim grinning ghosts started playing and i was singing a long. I really wanna go on it noww!

  • I met my girlfriend there.

  • One of Disney's best creations. Fabulous use of effects like Pepper's Ghost, and just the fun of it. Great job.

  • I just went on this a few days ago, and I was scared to death (ha ha) when the bride's bouquet turned into an axe. D: I'd never been on that ride before!

  • The Bride's section is my favorite part. I love all of the portraits in that room.

  • every time i go the darn rides closed. is it cool?

  • Yes! its AWSOME!

  • when i went on this ride, we had technical difficulties for like 15-20, and we were smart and shoved 3 people into one of those chairs. it wasnt very comfortable

then the ride finally started again but had ANOTHER technical difficulty after about 3 minutes, but it didnt last at long

so i didnt really enjoy the ride as much as i could lol

the best part is when a ghost magically appears in your seat next to you in the mirror

  • the original was better

  • WDW's Mansion is actually an improvment in some ways (not ALL - some!).

The facade is a little more stereotypical haunted house as there's 2 of these (the other at TDL), plus DL's is only available at present between february and September making it a part-time ride due to NBC overlay.

I'm sorry, but while most things at DL beat WDW (POTC in particular!!!), I prefer this Mansion.

  • POTC?? but really do you think so?? like what else?

  • cant wait to take a backstage tour of this ride friday!

  • One of my favorite rides in MK, especially since the refurb.

  • Why are they advertising the WDW one if the Disneyland one is original? :/ Disneyland is so forgotten compared to WDW...

  • Darn! I went June 2007 and it was getting refurbished for this new type! I didn't get to ride it. I've never been on it before. :(

  • When are they going to put some videos about DISNEYLAND??????

  • i love this ride but i hate that they use all the same rides at WDW as disneyland bcuz it makes them less special at the smaller anaheim park :(

    disneyland RULES!

  • Disneyland's cool. At least they got some things WDW doesn't have. Still I love

WDW and Disneyland equally. I wish

WDW had the Indiana Jones ride.

  • @vigo894 WDW does have the Haunted Manison...what are you talking about?

  • @strawberryblondeee= Of course I know they have a Haunted mansion. I've been inside it. I meant that WDW doesn't have an Indiana Jone ride. They have a stunt show which I love though. I hope the Fantasyland attraction turns out okay.

  • @strawberryblondeee she just said they do dummy

  • Voice is the late Paul Frees -- He is also the Burger Meister in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and the Cop in Frosty among other roles.

  • i love this ride!! :D when i was little i used to be so scared of this ride but know i love it!!! :D

  • a MUST visit attraction :)

  • It sure is

  • GOOD ride!

  • love this ride so funnn!(:

  • is thiss ridee really scaryy im going in mayy and i would go on it but iff itss properrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr scary i think ill pass haha x

  • it's disney... i know little little kids that love this ride. yeah, it's creepy but it's fun

  • hurry backkkkk! hurry backkkkkkk! i am 28 and I still say this is the best ride of all time!

  • I agree there's none ride better in the Magic Kingdom

  • Starting at about 00:22, you can hear Mickey singing (or at least the same voice actor)

  • That's actually one of the 999 ghosts that inhabit the mansion. Sounds a bit like Mickey though.

  • Yes, it is Not Mickey Mouse, but it IS the same voice over actor as MM, the name escapes me at the moment.

  • are you talking about Wayne Allwine or someone earlier than him?

  • I dont think Wayne Allwine or any mickey voice over played the opera singer

  • I wasn't talking about the opera singer.

  • Love it! I saw it on the disney website and was hoping it would be posted here!

  • lol i was freaked out by this ride a few years back

now i just find it funny to ride

    :D

  • i know i used to be SO scared of this ride now i LOVE it

  • i <3 this ride :DD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im a huge disney freak... XD im the kind of person who likes Disney World... XD

  • LOL I remember in '02 I was freaked out, I didn't want to go on this ride! My dad made me go on it. So, I had my visor blocking my vision and my fingers pluging my ears! When we went to Disneyland in August, same with me, I really enjoyed this ride!

  • fun ride :)

  • I remember way back in '92 or '93 when I was a kid and this ride freaked me out! The ghost host's voice was so scary and the whole time I was screaming "we need to call the ghostbusters!!" lol. Ah, being 5 years old was so much fun.

  • I was afraid of this when i went for the first time as a child in '98 and refused to go on! then in '07, I was ready to face my fears, but found it closed for some refurb. I went in January this year and I swear I went on this 8 times! It's such an amazing ride!

  • i heard this is really funny but im scared to go on it should i ???

  • I recommend it. It doesn't really go for the super scary approach

  • oh ok thanks ill try it next time i go , i guess ive gotta face my fear lol

  • Yeah, the scariest thing in it I think is the popping heads in the graveyard. There's also a talking ghost bride in the attic that's pretty creepy but not too bad.

  • ohhhh ok thanks ( again haha ) that really helps now =D

  • Best. Ride. Ever. That is all.

  • omg i am going to disney world and i better go on that ride

  • I love this ride, too!! Just love the grim grinning ghosts that come out to socialize!!

    ♥♥ it!!

  • Sigh, I just love this ride. Only ever been to the one here in Florida, but I'd love to go to California and see the original too. And I'm definitely one of those people who mouth the entire stretching room narration too lol

  • lol im definitely one of those people too =P

  • this is my favorite ride! ♥ this ride!

  • ME TOO!

  • very coooooooool

  • I've only been to the one in California...and I love it!!! I love how the people who like me have riden the ride tons of times always quote the voice in the elevator word by word...oh and I know I'm 21 and it's a Disney ride but I always get a little creeped out whenever I ride it...

  • classic

  • I can't wait to go this June! XD
