Dandy! Thanks for all the knots! I have a request: Can you demo a "Longliner's Knot" (Sometimes called a"Trotline knot".) ??? My understanding is that it is used to add in a secondary 'drop' line, onto to a main line. Similar to what a dropper loop is used for, but you end up with only one single line coming down off the main line, instead of an actual loop. There are a couple examples available online of the Longliner's knot, but I think your instruction would really clear it up for me.
This video was simple and easy to follow, and presented an easier way of tying this knot than I have seen elsewhere. Much nicer than the 3d animated version floating around on YouTube. Thank you!
this knot is called bowline in a bight , this is used in the navy allot , what makes it easer is , immagine that loop is a ditch , the end in your right hand is a fox, he goes into the ditch , comes out goes around the tree " up " and goes back to the ditch , i learn that , its easier :)
A "perfection loop" is very different than a "bowline on a bight". Btw it's "on" a bight not "in" a bight. LOL Look it up (you do have a computer, right?).
i am not telling you wether, i am in the Navy or not , but you still have to shut your mother fucker mouth , sutpid indian or what ever you are , idiot , i was adjusting my teachers spelling cuz' they were dump asses like you , Riffraff.
@Redneckbakkie I've had this knot come loose on me with a snap and 4# test once and it was because I clipped the tag too short, supposedly this is pretty good strength-wise and if you want the line to come straight off the loop like a uni knot.
Dude, your videos are awesome. I have been trying to learn this knot out of a book for an hour and I learned it in 30 seconds watching your video. Keep up the good work.
nice video, took me about 2 goes and then nailed it. A few other numpties with demo vids should take a this demo, qualities of an instructor - confidence, well mannered, diligent, enthusiastic. Well done 10/10
probably the best demo of tying that flippin knot i've seen. cheers, its made my life a little easier!
