I cant belive how much people are saying this is a zelda rip off. It's ment to be a parody of the original zelda games. Atlus isn't saying that it's there own original idea, but even announced that it was a love letter for retro adventure game. It's homage to the original games back in the 8 bit days

Well I personally can't wait for this game.

That said I CAN kind of understand why some people are upset and I don't think it's fair to just yell fanboy--well, okay for some it might be fair...but not all.

Zelda for a lot of people really means something. Is it fair or rational to attack this game? No, not really. But humans aren't rational...not really...we're emotional. It's easy to judge people for getting worked up, but I've heard Torgo get worked up over stupider things.

I really don't think that's going to happen. Seriously, who HASN'T played a Zelda game? Why would "taunting" be necessary? You don't have to own a Wii to like or know of this style of gameplay. Let's not make everything into a console war battle. I own a PS3 and I'm super excited to play this. And no, my excitement doesn't come from some sort of misplaced fanboyism. The game just LOOKS awesome.

Atlus and From Software just keep coming up with amazing games. First Demon's Souls, now this? This looks amazing. It's quite refreshing when the only games that come out nowadays are just carbon copy first person shooters that are boring as hell. We need more creative games like this.

@Torgo100 I'm an enormous Zelda fan who has loved the series dearly ever since I was a child, and I am extremely excited for this game simply because it IS so Zelda-esque. FROM SOFTWARE is also a favorite developer of mine, so that's two reasons. I think it's wonderful to see a marriage between my favorite developer and my favorite series in such an innovative (and imitative) way.

I'm sure no one cares that this game plays like Zelda. What they care about is, it's paying homage to Zelda despite being developed for the PS3. Don't you think it should have been on the console who's developer made Zelda? Not their biggest rival?

And the character creator opens the doorway for PS3 fanboys to create Link from Zelda. You just know there are going to be assholes uploading YouTube videos taunting Nintendo gamers and saying "Ha ha, Zelda was released for the PS3!".

@heldiney17 - Again, I was trying to be funny. This game has been out in Japan for quite a while already with no implications of any litigation.

In my opinion, so what if it's a clone of the Zelda series? My favorite was "A Link to the Past", and now I get a to play a game that's pretty similar to it, but updated to today's standards. If Nintendo would go back to basics like this, I'd be ecstatic.

Agree on that one the old Zelda Games specially the 1st one and also ocarina of Time were awesome but twilight Princess was just awefull. It was basically OOT remixed. But still Nintendo has to be blind not to sue them even if it is an omage it is released on a Rival Console. Ever heard of Copyright? On the other hand you have to like Lego style games i guess. I own the wii and X360 and soon get a PS3. so i am not a fanboy of any of them but i think until now X360 is the best.

Yeah but the funny part is Sony themselfes have suid alot of people about copyright or other stuff like modship & co. Specially now that they have cracked the PS3. Also they did the same with Bleemcast which could have been the most promising thing ever. At that time they didn`t wanted their games on an foreign console like the dreamcast so why should others not do the same thing.

I Have a psx & Ps2 but i don`like he attitude of Sony plus i didn`t bought the PS3 until now becouse it is not compatible with ps2 & Ps1 [ though i don`t need it] and most of the games are as always crap only few of them are worth it. Besides of that i was not fooled with the Bluray player thing. Only good part is you can play online against others without having an monthly account but they will change that aswell. nintendo Problem = only few third party Games.

actually, from software didn't developed this game, they only published the japanese version. it's really developed by silicon studio. just wanted to point that out. i thought from software developed it too at 1st, lol.
