i have a question : i wonder if this techniqe will work if he holding a gun at you (if he hold one handed)

@zaraki9661 I would not advise this for a handgun. As the cutting motion can cause the gun to go off and kill you. There are other Waza for the Gun but I will not share them here on YouTube.

Great technique! I just went over these in my Aikido dojo last night. We did them alittle differently though. It was done from Uke holding the knife pointed straight at your neck or chest and in that case we stepped offline as we entered and used the hands synergenically to do the same exact technique except do the circumstances not being dynamic as in the case shown here of the an actual thrust attack our palms were face up when the technique was performed.

But..in this video..what are we supposed to do if the man who has the knife do that really quickly as he is supposed to..with intension to harm us of course??

Take his blade away and control him. The faster and harder he attacks the harder & faster the disarm is done. You must have Irimi (Entering) to be able to do this disarm. This was done slowly on the video to show how to do it. And his intention to stab me is still there slow or fast.

Ah yes I did I the knife disarm and then I put him into a armlock and then into a Sayu nage throw. Sure I will cover it again soon.
