Once your done with all that you go to a parking lot and find one of those large trucks lifted on 20+ inch chrome rims and huge mudding tires that have never seen a spec of mud, and park next to them.
fun times.. last time i did this i got stuck in snow.. took me 35 mintues of digging with my brother to get it out.. lol.. not fun when you dont have gloves..
Thanks for the comment! You can actually see when I use the hand brake cause the headlights go out when it's pulled. It was about 6 inches of snow over a soybean tilled soil that was pure mud so there was basically nothing for traction, but I can always improve my driving skills :)
oh, in europe using handbrake does not affect lights or anything else, so didnt know it works like that in the usa, lol. still, that wasnt the perfect place for a suby, rather some kinda suv or somethin, but o'well, who cares if it was fun ;D
yea, it doesn't work like that in the USA... this is some US rigging... probably installed something and shorted out the lights. Unless it's a new feature designed to prevent the use of Ebreak around town :). In Europe, the rear (Ebreak) light goes on, on most cars... as you might know, most european cars have 1 back up light and 1 Ebreak/Fog Brake light... this actually makes sense... but not here.,,
actually, the rear red light goes on only when i'm using footbrake, it doesnt goes on when i'm stopping and holding the ebreak. i'm confused now about the number of rear lights in my car, cuz i was pretty sure i got the allround lights, footbrake lights and fog lights, lol. gotta check it :|
you car should have 2 rear driving lights and 3 stop lights (the 3rd is on the spoiler or on the window). in the US, yanking the Ebreak shouldnt turn on any lights.
in Europe (not sure about japanese models), but as an example - the Renault Clio, only has 1 white back up light, but on the other side what is the second back up light for us, in Europe this lens is red. this light is as bright as a brake light and it makes sense. its purpose - fog and rain, so others can see you better.
also, I don't remember if yanking the ebreak on the Renault Clio turns on the special brake light, or the normal brake lights, but it does turn lights on... people in Europe or countires with hills use the Ebreak often (hills, slow down, etc...), so it needs to light up. keep in mind at least up to the early 90's most european cars were 99% manual transmission... stopping at a light on a hill, normally meant putting on the Ebreak for most.
when I drive a manual... I don't need to put the e brake on for hills... i'm good enough to get on the gas and clutch right when i get off the brake... or let out the clutch enough to hold the car then give it gas and let out the clutch more
Because it has daytime running lights it allows you to have no lights on when parked. If the lights are switched on ebrake has no effect and they stay on.
LOL I have and 03 Legacy and I was in NC visiting some friends. Their driveway was so bad everybody had to have a truck to get up. They couldnt believe i got up it with my car. Unfortunatly it took 4 hours with a hose pipe and crawling under the car to get rid of all the mud.
i gotta leveled out 5cyl colorado with some nice cooper stt's that could have fun in there... i dont like full size trucks, cant fit anywhere ..

Are you aware that that is a very basic driving skill, it's called clutch and brake control.

It was a blast! It took like 3 weeks of touchless car washes to get all the caked mud off the car though.
