Good catch on camera. Probably thought he would pass in style hitting that in 4th and not backing off before, gets the better of you on occasions.

Must have gone 50 to 80 yards.

Have done similar a few times and broke foot pegs off.

Thats a good guess but when it originally happened him and his mechanic both said it wasn't, and he would have had to crank his throttle wide open for it to get stuck there

Doug has said several times that he simply got caught up in the battle with Mcgrath and forgot what part of the track he was on. he said this in interviews with magazines and tv.
