PS: I use my Vita-Mix almost every day and it's encouraged me to increase my whole foods intake by about 500%.
I am almost 5 months pregnant and returned to my previous vegan diet. Morning sickness is gone, energy returning, and I am SO making this recipe soon! Thank you!!
Also, there are so many important foods that either require cooking or would really have to be prepared well in advance of consumption... that to completely oust them just to be completely raw is totally illogical! Even the plantain bananas I ate this morning needed to be cooked. This raw food movement has important legitimacy yet it goes too far and is largely a FAD, a dream of immortality and takes the focus off of the 1,000,000 other holistic healing modalities that are of equal importance.
I'm not going to jump on the all raw bandwagon especially if it requires eating processed protein supplements. As long as one eats plenty of raw salad along with cooked beans or sprouted beans and some nuts and seeds there will be plenty of protein in the diet. Rice is not a super food and creating a predigested supplement out of it does not make sense in many regards. Too many resources required is one of them. Not a whole and natural food is another black mark against it. Stay natural!
