Yup, I have the pens, Jim. Never leave one lying around when I am near. I just have to pick it up, try it, see if I want it, and then put on the "weepy" face to convince you I need it. - roc
The pens "live" in a plastic tool box. Where they are safe and I have the option of adding a lock. (I haven't done that yet... I am not that far gone... )
I've heard of "writers block" but not "writers paradise"! In my house, we have a place called "pen heaven" where every single pen goes to only hours after buying them. They disappear ONLY when i need to write something urgently and never return!
i used to tear out the comic page of the newspaper everytime i got it... iv got about 5 years worth folded and stashed away in a cupboard (garfield, calvin and hobbes, zits, and hagar among others)... but i stopped that. it was kinda pointless and a waste of space. it wasn't really compulsive tho. i can't think of any compulsive collections...
Real pens are beautiful. Most of what I showed are not very expensive - - but, oh Martha, the beauties .... those stunning writing instruments that are more than $500.00 - OOOOH, I covet. I know it is wrong, but, Martha, I covet....
LOL -- interesting video ;o) when I 1st saw the title I thought it said something else... I got my new eye glasses today and I am learning to see and read with them... anyways
hehe ;o) just say that I had to get my mind out of the gutter ... and realize that new eye glasses aren't what they are cracked up to be... or at least I am blaming my poor reading skills on them... but Roc it was way bad... I thought I read about you having extra body parts... hehe ;o) Your videos always make me smile ... that's it that's all.
Roc you are still my hero but I now see that you have flaws just like the rest of us. My weakness is dishes but I have sold or broken most of my addiction.. er I mean collection.
There ya' go. When I was in school, the boys would "fling" the ink from their fountain pens at the girls...a sign of affection, no doubt. However, it ruined more than one outfit. Boys! :)
Sue, I can't pass a pen without picking it up and checking it out. I like them all - with the exception of the really cheap pens you get at hotels and conventions.... but, even so, I have a box full of them.
Wow! That's quite a collection you have going there. You could be related to my father. When he died, he probably had 300 pens and mechanical pencils...and 40 winter coats (we live in South Carolina where you rarely need a single winter coat, let alone 40). ;) -Doug
Huh. Um, what did you do with all those pens, Doug? I wonder why your dad wanted all those coats. He must have thought he looked dashing in a coat. - roc
Oh, please forgive me roc.... but I didn't have my reading glasses on and I almost passed out thinking your vid was entitled..."I show my penis". My bad.
Cool, I collected pens for a long time and then one day I stopped. My pens were mostly novelty pens. I had pens from places I had visited and I had pens in the shape of different objects (a bowling pin) and all sorts of shapes. Some of them were games. I actually was given one of my great grandfathers pens. Ten years ago I had a head injury and after that I lost interest in some of the things I used to do. Gigi
There is just something special about a pen, Gigi. I am always picking them up where ever I go to heft it in my hand first and then try it. Some are just crappy things, but I even like them. I can't walk past a pen without wanting to check it out. - roc
Wow!! What an amazing assortment of pens and pencils. My great Uncle collected pencils..well, he really collecting just about everything...and had enough pencils to build a cottage!! No kidding!
Enough pencils to build a cottage?? Wow! I didn't really show all my pencils. Nancy, I have pencil crayons that I had in grade 4. Believe it or not. - roc
I am stunned you knew it was Bessie Smith! I thought "Ain't Nobody's Business" fit my admission to my particular OCD and I am not open to criticism! Cattle Call - well, just because. I just like pens and prefer fountain pens, but they can be messy.
What a lovely collection. Do you use them all? The ocd thingy, I know about! The good news is your pens are organized and neatly displayed. Well done;)
omgosh! I also use Cross® pens for "important" things, and my everyday pens are black medium Pilot® EasyTouch™ retractables. I have one fountain pen, but I'm a smudger. :(
Love your pens, Roc! Thanks for sharing your collection. Now I'm off to look out the window and watch the neighbors build their ark. We're going to need it, I'm afraid....
Did you note my cross pen collection, Ran? I have several, but for the really important stuff, I use the Mont Blanc! My favourite is the Waterman though. - roc
