  • @Fukisukeru you print the pictures and tape them together

  • @Fukisukeru you print the pictures and tape them together

  • i remember this method. i used to use it all the time on my own keyblades. that was when i first started.. oh the memories.

  • I so wanna make one by next summer cuz imma going to Disney land and wanna be a keyblade wielder and stuffs :D

  • how did u mmake the pick so big

  • @tyreek426 check out this explination in my Cosplay Tutorial: Pattern Making How To! With Keyblade and PAX pictures

  • So wait. How did you smooth off the edges on both sides?

  • @Xelku9 I tried and failed. the keyblade only looks good from one side. I tried smoothing down the other side with a mouse sander

  • @javakat343 Here's an idea, you could have two identical half's and smooth the edges on one side of both of them.

  • @Xelku9 Shoulda. SHOULD-A. next time

  • @javakat343 What's with the shoulda?

  • @Xelku9 I was agreeing with you. I should HAVE (shoulda) made two sides and glued them together

  • @javakat343 Oh silly me

  • I'm planning on doing an Organization XIII Roxas cosplay and...well...it wouldn't be complete without the duel weilding Oathkeeper and Oblivion keyblades...what materials would I use for these keyblades?

  • how did you do that with the picture of the keyblade? how did you print it out in different sections? what program did you use?

  • thanks for the tutorial it helped out a lot

  • could you make a rumbling rose for me

  • So you're using a Drill, Jigsaw, Router, and Dremel for this tutorial.

What size and kind of bits are you using for each tool?

  • @RexB I honestly don't know. It's been too long and I don't have a way to find out. I borrowed the tools.

  • @javakat343 Oh okay. Well thanks for replying anyways. I'll just try and figure out it all my own. But thanks a lot for posting the tutorials!

  • @RexB I tried it to and it turned up awsome

  • Comment removed

  • can u make tutorial for soul eater weapon like blackstar

  • @13royalknight I'd probably use a base of insulation foam and cover it with wonderflex or styrene or paper mache and gesso. Google cosplay supplies and they have tutorials on their that are very basic for any prop you might make :)

  • cough there arent any links in the sidebar to the pictures

  • @rtye4 ak! I can't find the original link. here is another option

    w ww.nwegame. com/ games/ kh/ kingdom-hearts-keyblades/

  • @javakat343 I think i may be typing it in wrong but that link doesnt work either... at least not for me.

  • how did you print it out like that i can't figure that part out i am using photoshop i just cant get the sizeing to work

  • cool thank

  • omg this is too much...TO EBAY!!!!!!

  • Awwwww they are having a fight on MY video comments thread. So cute. I'm flattered.

  • I want the Oath-keeper please? *BEGGING*

  • @Icy610 I'm not taking commissions now sorry :(

  • @javakat343 okay, and... do u draw keyblades too?

  • @Icy610 I actually haven't designed a key blade in forever but I could....

  • @javakat343 well... u can try if you want to :3

  • @Icy610 try drawing some keyblades when ur bored if u want to

  • Thank you thank you thank you!!!

  • Haha ty im trying to make one , im wondering if you could send me the materals i need htrough messege on youtube.,. and ps......i love how your not afraid to get a lil say dudst on you....(or in you /.....0.o haha lol

  • @beannababy12 You can't succeed in life if you always ask people to do things for you! I mention and list more materials so be proactive and look! I don't know what materials you need for your specific keyblade but mostly its Medium Density Fibrerboard or insulation foam for the base, then clay, glue, paint, etc.

  • its called a router i use it in wood shop mason out

  • @mason6182 Thankyou! I never did woodshop (I'm very jealous)

  • make me one oblivian

  • @YummyButterflyNinja I'm not taking commissions at the moment Sorry! and try saying please next time :)

  • i have sawdust in my underwear

.___.'' how did you manage that?

  • @dayzeegurle its tricky buisness!

  • MAKE AN OATHKEEPER KEYBLADE

that is the most coolest one ever !

  • Are you crazy? and your likee 40 why are you playing with key blades

  • @generalspicywienerx *clears throat* No, I'm not crazy. But I do think so every once in a while. My age is of an average college range.... and I don't play with them (too fragile). I make them and then take purdy pictures of my work later.

  • it is not called the rumbling rose it is the divine rose

  • @thekid22001 divine rose my ass, go play some KH it is rumbling rose for sure

  • @misticalform ok then i have a different version than everybody else because the only thing i havent done is beaten sephiroth i got every keyblade so come to america go to gasmestop and buy the version i got and just shut up nobody cares about wat u just said u freaking idiot geeze

  • @thekid22001 if nobody cares why u put a reply on my comment, if u still have a doubt look at google, maybe will get things clear

  • @misticalform ohhhhhh u guys r talking about kh2 im talking about kh1 im sorry

  • @thekid22001 its ok dude =)

  • @misticalform thx vry much

  • There is sawdust in your where?

  • Thank you sooo much for making this Tutorial!!!!!! I am making the Divine Rose Keyblade for a Con I am going to in march!!!

  • ive found an outline for it but when i try to print it it only prints one page please tell me how to scale it

  • @hydralicninja56 further explination is up on a new video on my channel :)

  • @javakat343 what kind of wood would you recommend for me if i wanted to make the oblivion keyblade (i want light but still heavy duty wood because i don't want to carry around a heavy keyblade) and also can i use crayola air-dry clay?

  • @CollidingSparks medium density fiberboard or MDF is cheaper than plywood and doesn't have holes (It's as if you took wood scraps and ground it up and mixed it with glue paste).

  • @CollidingSparks OF COURSE! That is what I mean when I say model Magic. I mean the crayola brand :)

  • Can you explain how to print out the outline a little more? Like what size did you make the image and how did you cut it up to print it out all out on multiple sheets?

  • @msbreshine I'll put the outlines on my photobucket

    s918. photobucket. com/albums/ad24/ javakat1234

  • @javakat343 thanks =)

  • @msbreshine video tutorial is up on my channel :)

  • it must be nice to have all that equipment to use for your keyblades

  • @XxLightNTheDarknessX yes I have great friends. You could use foam. you don't need any power tools.

  • @javakat343 oh...well doesn't really matter anyway, i can't do my cosplay this year but thanks for the video, maybe next year XD

  • Now I wish I had taken wood shop in high school. lol

KH = the shit. I should have had a mind to do this. Great job. =]

  • @javakat343 isn't the rumble rose hard to make btw could u mix up chaacters an weapons? like Reno with a keyblade?

  • why type of material do you suggest I use for the Kingdom Key? just foam? or wood?

  • @animefreaklover110 I'd actually use cardboard and PVC piping

  • @javakat343 oh thank you so much!

  • Make the x-blade from Birth by Sleep. If you don't know what it is play Ven's storyline.

  • @ProvocativeAmbulance Now why would I do a thing like that? ;)

  • @ProvocativeAmbulance woot someone else who actually played Birth By Sleep

  • can you show me how to make Ven's keyblade from birth by sleep its called the wayward wind or fresh breeze

  • @hydralicninja56 I can't really make a tutorial but I can explain how I'd go about it; for the Wayward Wind I would probably make a base out of wood and then cover it with alot foam and clay because its got a lot of depth. I would use PVC and cardboard for the handle though because its almost like an altered Kingdom key

  • @javakat343 Can you tell me how to make Oathkeeper and Oblivion keyblade?? I can i make it out of cardboard??

  • @nekoXnekoXgurl They won't cut out the disign but they will cut plywood at the hardware store you buy the wood from

  • I no it has nothing to do with kingdom hearts but lol can u show me how to craft a full metal alchemiests watch? :)

  • @TallTrash You could buy a cheap watch and then mold the design with epoxy putty on to the watch. You could use plastics and hot glue to make the watch then spraypaint it...its such a detailed small item, that I'd probably just buy a replica because it might cost you just as much to make as to buy

  • @TallTrash Its described in the comments below :)

  • hi, i watched all the videos in this tutorial and it's very helpful (btw congrats ur great).

But I got a huge problem, I have no way to cut wood in my apartament and have no clue where i should go to and ask to have the wood in the shape of the key I want (aqua's key). do you now if there is any other material that I could use to make it that would be easy to cut? (i'm doing this on my own dont have any help on the making of my key, so i need easy steps)

    THX :)

  • @CoolElectropop I would go with foam then. Do you have a deck that leads outdoors or a place outside that is well ventilated. Both wood and foam get little bits EVERYWHERE. but foam is lighter and can be cut manually. Its fragile though!

  • @javakat343 thx i was thinking about foam too but i ended up getting some wood that is easy to cut, since aqua's key isnt that large, thx for the tip tho :)

we dont have a deck and the house is carpet so im cutting it outside on the sidewalk lol

  • I can't figure out how to size on the computer

  • @whipslash72497 you can always print it out and see how you like it. if its too big or small you can change it. You might want to use another software. You can get a trial of something to help you size it

  • @whipslash72497 i just use microsoft office publisher cuz it can blow up images when u type in the dimensions. then itll print on like 12 pieces of paper that ull tape together

  • @h1928 ok well which version? and how exactly do i size it up and how do i get it all to print?

  • @whipslash72497 um i currently have 2007 but im pretty sure it'll work on earlier versions, i just open a blank document, paste the picture on, rotate if necessary, then right click the picture, click format picture, and change the size to the real life dimensions(in inches) and i dunno if its necessary but i also change the document size to match the picture

  • Can you also post a tutorial with the Foam?

  • @BlacklikeaRiver The only think I have actually constructed with The foam are my rabbits feet. I always manage to get away from the "big foam sword"...my next projects will be with translucent props....not foam...UG always doing something rediculous.

I can probably get something up eventually, no promises!

  • that is ugly

  • @AndrewOU123 ...k

  • Can you sand down the sides instead of using the rotary cutter?

  • i dont get how to make the key blade on paint???

  • What kind of foam would i use because my dad has insulation foam in the garage but it's the white kind that you find in packing that crumbles.

  • @AkatsukiClay Don't use that. Thats for shipping packages. You want the stuff they use to insulate houses with. Its commonly pink or blue and much more condensed....like squished white styrofoam

  • this vid realy helps! im in the process of making Oblivion and Oathkeeper. i dont realy understand why you cut holes into the wood before you cut it out...why? also i dont understand why u use modeling clay and stuff what is the purpose??? plz reply!!!

  • i like the rotary cutter part, it's just a shame its only able to cut on one side

  • What possessed you to put that song on in the background? I want to mute it so bad, but then I won't be able to hear you! D:

:) I can't wait to make Oblivion. Do you know the name of the blade Ansem/Riku uses against Sora in his boss fight in Hollow Bastion? Thank-you :) x

  • @ShoujuZombie15 would it make sense for me to say that I love this song for being so terrible? (it sort of sucks because this song prevents me from getting revenue on this vid ;P)

  • @javakat343

Yes it would :) We all love at least one bad song ^_^

  • @ShoujuZombie15 The keyblade was suol eater i think

  • @tobiawsome123

    Thanks :)

  • @ShoujuZombie15 The blade would be Soul Eater. I think that's the one you want to know. It's the one with the large demon/bat wing and an eye at the handle right?

  • @BlacklikeaRiver

    Yeah, that's the one ;)

  • nice i will have to start making my own set of keyblades....btw youare really cute...just thought you should know...

  • Comment removed

  • dude this looks so awesome in my eyes

  • hmm if only i can get someone to make this. i dont have the tools for it but i cant find anybody to buy one off of. im willing to pay but for keyblade but nobody has answered back. do u know anybody thats willing to sell or make a keyblade. or maybe i can get one off of you

  • @KeybladeMarauderXIV if you use insulation foam instead of wood you don't need the power tools

  • @javakat343 oh... cool never thought of that. thank you

  • @KeybladeMarauderXIV if you would be looking for someone to buy a keyblade from, Gingerann sells some

  • @jonny5312 ... gingerann... thank you ill take a look

  • @KeybladeMarauderXIV I do sell keyblades from $100 to $175 not a lot of people know about me on youtube, but I do have a both at san japan where I make and sell, if you want to you can always send me a message and you can see you keyblades that I have made on my youtube page.

  • what size for someone about 5'11 xD

  • what size would you recommend for someone whos 5 feet?

  • @FroderickProductions It depends...I just printed it out and held it up to me in the mirror and saw if I liked it.

  • how do you decide how big to make the keyblade? what size ould you recommend for somebody thats around 5,3?

  • @FroderickProductions I'm 5'4" so maybe 40 inches long?

  • i wouls wood but if really good use power tools wit METAL!

  • i want to make a fenrir keyblade but i do not understand the printing and sizes

  • you should make heaps of different keyblades and sell them on ebay :D

  • this is AMAZING!

  • must u print the keyblade in color?

  • Oh! No you don't need to, I'm sure there are advantages (helping to pick paints), but no, it's not necessary

  • kk tysm

  • can you make me vans key blade he is the most awsome key blade wielder ever the reason i ask is because you make amazing key blades and my birth day is coming up so can you make me one please there is no way for me to make a key is because there is nowhere i can make on so yeah

  • when is your birthday?

  • Ahhh ty very much

  • what do u use for color (Nooby of me)

  • I used rustolium spray paint and acrylics

  • Sorry it it's already been asked, but what kind of wood did you end up buying? I noticed it was kind of thick. Do you remember what it's called?

  • IDK just some plywood that was 3/4 inch thick...it was 5 layers I think...but it was the cheap stuff so i bought wood filler to fill the holes.

  • @javakat343 how thick and would u recomend for some1 whos 4 feet and 5 inches?

  • 1/2 inch

  • thanks

  • Amazing work!

  • I want your fatal crest keyblade

  • Haha! Well! Its not mine anymore its my friends birthday present! :) It was a rather simple one to make...oooh, I should have uploaded a tutorial....shuks. If you want me to I will!

  • I was wondering on how to get a picture that big i mean like how does a printer print tht huge sheet of paper out? isnt the paper like way smaller then that?and how to get a picture that big plz help me i really wanna make this.....thx

  • All you do is size the picture so that it will come out the right ratio/size/proportions, then because the printer is small it will print out the keyblade in pieces. All you have to do it cut and tape the pieces of the picture together.

  • I have a question...

I'm making a live action movie that uses Keyblades... what do you sugest I make mine out of?

  • Generally the consensus is that if you are making something for show (photography/display vs skit or movie) it doesn't need to be durable, but in your case it will take more of a beating, therefore I would go with solid, sturdy materials. Use wood, not foam, and if you can, use plastics that are most resilient to breakage (wonderflex is great for covering props to make really durable...

Could I get reference pictures of what you are making? Also what kind of fighting are you doing with them?

  • I was going to simply make a Kingdom Key, but more accurate to the game than the crap ones I see being made all of the time. After that, I'll be making my own Blade, similar to the Oathkeeper, meaning it will be a flat blade like the one you made. As for fighting I will not be doing any sword to sword clashing. If I do clash two blades, it will not be very hard. Other than that, I need something I can swing around easily.

  • So you are looking for light rather than durable? If you want light, make the Kingdom key head out of foam and cardboard (the rod is PVC pipe)...Skip wood.

  • Perhaps I will make two copies, like most films do:

One for carrying around and the other for combat. The one for combat I'll make out of wood and the one for show out of foam!

  • Excellent idea! PLEASE post your video as a response here when you are done so I can see it!

  • Ok I'll try to remember it! I'll start posting videos on my channel regarding the Movie and eventually I'll post the ones on my Keyblade :)

    HOWEVER

The final product itself will be a secret, so I'll just show you a cut out product with some paint on it XD

  • and lastly? we paint it? with what?

  • I'm so sorry for taking so long to put up part 2! I'll get it up later today or tomorrow!

  • lucky:( i have no wood i dont have the money to pay for the wood i dont have a friend with the tools and the wood and i dot have the tools i cant make one when i go onto any video im missig something! aarrgghh!

  • I would suggest foam and paper mache its cheaper than power tools!

  • @javakat343 fam is alot more expensive over here(i live in to uk) but thnx anyway

  • Cardboard? :)

  • @javakat343 how would that work?

  • Its depends on which keyblade you would want to make! Which one are you thinking about? It might not work for a few (the more intricate ones)

  • im thinking about vens keyblade

  • You would make it the same as the kingdom key!

Check my annotations in the beginning for a link

  • Rumbling rose.......

  • Oh i loved this video!! *^.^ It was such a nice tutorial. And thank you for making it!

  • Thankyou very much !!

i'll soon going 2 make one for my one ^^

    thank for the vids !!

    ~Roxas

  • how much can u make the one sora uses

  • how thick was the wood you bought?

  • what kind of material do you reccomend if im making a keyblade like Fenrir?

    wood or foam? O_O

  • Foam! its sooo big! I was going to make that one (I was going to make 4 over the summer but I only got through 2!)

You can't carve the shape very easily with wood, definitely foam. and lots o' PVC pipe

  • And use foamies as well (I LOVE foamies), also make sure you don't print out the pattern too small. That keyblade is one of the larger ones, not too big to hold, but with foam it will be very light....so yeah! Show me some pics when you're done!

  • what the pvc pipe for? Lol
