  • 1979年のグラミー新人賞といえば、TOTOとかThe Carsが受賞するべきだったと思う。それは会場の盛り下がり具合で一目瞭然。

  • thats hot!!! n talent! lol

  • now THIS is talent....

  • This song was the #1 hit on my day of birth, kinda cool!

  • People that think someone like lady gaga or britney is talented should notice these two ladies are not only singing (not lipsynching) but are also taltened and skillful instrumentalist. Pop artist today are a JOKE!!!

  • Those a-holes didnt even have enough guts to get up and dance !!! idiots lol

  • Great video.....never seen this before despite buying the track in 1978 when I was 20.

  • the audience seems dead and without mood..the latin are hot and cheerfuls

  • ♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♥♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪

  • 2 BEAUTIFUL SISTER WOW.AND THEY CAN PLAY AND SING AND DONT HAVE TO SHOW THERE TITS AND ASS. TO DISTRACT U FROM THERE VOCALS

  • Classic classic classic

  • great performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It wasn't the Apollo theater, where it's normal for audience members to hoot, holler, jump out of their seats, and swing from light fixtures. This was back when audiences were classy.

  • @snoobeagle No, you have that all wrong, it's when audience are still sheep.

  • @Khultan If not hootin' hollerin' and spasticating up and out of your seats making a fool of yourself is being SHEEPLIKE..then color me BAAAAAAD. No animalistic behavior for me.

  • that's right!! girls w/guitars. 1 of my fave old school disco songs.

  • DAMN.....THEY WERE FINE!!!!!!

    PEACE

  • the do need crowd control don't they

  • so beautiful and talented!! love love love it!

  • it's so funny watching the Grammy audience. so many stiffs out there. if i were there i'd be dying to get up and dance or rush to the stage. things were so different back in the day. celebrities at award shows made it seem like it was beneath them to show they were having fun. things have loosened up quite a bit since then. too bad the music is shit now though.

  • awesome:)

  • ah quelle entrée ! j'adore !

  • These are some ultra talented women! One of the greatest funk tunes of all time!

  • I am so mad!!! I always thought that Evelyn Champagne King sung this and I was 9 at the time. My memory is so not good right now. Lol!!

  • My dad saw this live wish I was him

  • Are they singing, OR playing the guitars?

  • That woman at 3:35 was really hot.

  • BOOGIE OOGIE OOGIE BY A TAST OF HONEY DISCOTICK!

  • far out!!!

  • The spun, turned around and was strapped wit guitars, LMAO

  • One of my favorite disco songs; never get tired of hearing this.

  • They were really great! Very underrated musicians. The male dancers in the beginning are hilarious!

  • look at Janice Marie Johnson. have you ever seen such a beautiful sweet languorous woman? she is amazing. love her all the time!

  • A pura e genuína nata da dance music - A Taste of honey...cliquem e ouçam... muiiiito bom....divertam-se

  • I love Janice Marie Johnson. I agree that there is nothing sexier than woman musicians...Who keep time and sex appeal. Thet needed to turn upt he gutair players solo.

  • I too miss the music. I knew Perry Kibble personally and miss his musical talent and the way he laughed and smiled. His death was a great loss.

  • They were awesome....the audience was dead and had no rythym!

  • BACANA...

  • IMMORTAL OMG..!

    youtube com SLASH watch?v=MmMAcgkI_D4&feature=related

  • There is nothing sexier than a woman playing an instrument! If my wife (25 years married and counting) suddenly got abducted by aliens (Galactic or Mexican) I would propose to her. And if she's married.... I'll make her husband an "offer he can't refuse!

  • Neil Diamond loved song

  • You check out Dinah Shore tappin' her feet...Andy Gibb rockin'it, and Neal Diamond with the hand clap & whistle!!! Classic 70's.........

  • bons tempos otimas musicas que não fazem iguais viajei nesta musica onde tudo era melhor até as mulheres e os amassos que pena que já era, mas ainda tô na pegada.

  • I had this lady on my radio show twice! Each time she completely blew me away! We love you Janice!

  • When was the last time you saw two sexy girls playing the hottest riffs on guitar and bass (and singing-- hard for a bass player) to one of the funkiest grooves you ever heard?

  • THESE LADIES MAKE ME WANT TO GET UP AND BOGGIE WITH THEM THAT CROWD IS EITHER DEAF OR ASLEEP!

  • whats up with this wack ass croud??? If i was there I'd be jamming.

  • LO MEJOR PARA BAILAR

  • wwhat nice looking ladys

  • the fat gay on the 3:24 , its the gay from the 80's Nostradamus documentary ? hell yea its him

  • The background singing is EXCELLENT. The guitar player has a great voice. And I love the lead singers sweet voice, especially in Sukiyaki. Can you imagine how hard it is singing a hype song in front of a dead crowd?

  • @zomzilove there not really playin or singin here, even the dialoge parts are bein played on tape, so check this song out on a 2004 live version, its on youtube, look 4 it

  • FUN FUN FUN, I hope kids have as much fun as we did!! If I could only boogie oogie oogie like I did back in the day. What fun we all had at the clubs. Never understood why the Dicso Sucks brigade came along and ended the fun. Just about the time of the AIDS pandemic. Strange how music dates our history.

  • GET IT GIRLS........!!

  • very good performance.

  • back in the day...!! great stuff.!

  • oh my!! I always loved the 70's music...maybe because I was born in the mid 70's!!!! I wish I was old enough those times to be able to go to a real disco!!!!

  • that was an awessome performance, they was really good on those axes. sounding great and looking even greater. thanks for posting this. i remember this song in '79 was durning my senior year in high school, and this song burned up this dance floor.

  • Now that's talent!

  • Has anyone noticed that the stage area is set up very similar to the Cathedral of Tomorrow church in Akron,Ohio?

  • OMG......What the hell happened to the audience ? They look like zombies from the movie "Night of the Living Dead" !!! What kind of drugs were the German people taking in the late 70"s...................

  • THIS IS THE JAM!! .... A TASTE OF HONEY they got it going on!

  • They have that sexy attitude.

  • They got that sexy attitude.

  • They got that sexy attitude.

  • gracias por compartir este video

  • the people sitting there are so dry.

  • What do you expect? They are mostly white. lol

  • @toya0494 I never understood that when I see 70s videos...some of the biggest superstars of the time performing these amazing tracks, and nothing! It's like the crowd thinks they're watching opera or something lol..

  • @toya0494 Hahaha!!

  • @toya0494 like toast with no butter

  • Yes!....Beautiful and Elegant....You are so right. What a perfect description of these Ladies. Total Class. Soulful...Feelgood Disco. Cherish the times and the Music.

  • I remember this like yesterday, LOL ...haven't seen it since I was a High-Rise Child of Manhattan. I was struck by Janice's beauty when watching this broadcast. :) A nice rarity, THX-GD.

  • Wow, they are so elegant and beautiful!!

  • Aww they so super cool. Unlike the slappers of today. How I miss yesterday

  • @summersnight711 this is when music WAS music...1970's live forever!

  • So I'm going to guess that they are singing along to a backing track? All of the instruments seem to be out of synch and as soon as she hits the bass solo it cuts to audience reaction.

Oh well, who cares...They are still fantastic, even to this day.

  • Wonderful reminds one of the group Chic

but they have their own authenticity

Music lik ethis is truly Missed!!!

  • Yes Chic, I remember them ...Le Freak sais Chic. Must go Youtube em now :)

  • great erformance and they looked very confident, the ending was a bit weird and felt incomplete tho'

  • Thanks for this vid! An underrated group!
