  • i'm into space and planets. do you have any ideas on how to use your system to fly the space shuttle and threw space to other planets.

  • @quest33613 Sure, as long as you use FSX or Prepar3D you can fly into Earths orbit.

  • DUDE YOU ARE A FREAKIN GENEOUS.....i love this.

  • iv just got three 23" screens and a joystick...

  • Is he really hanging from this at 11:14??

  • @hayfahvytsen I wonder if he would post this video if he fell on everything? lol

  • A Great Masterpiece!

  • How much the cockpit costed ? (without the pc price)

  • @edtk99 please just take a look at my website for all details. SimSamurai-dot-com

  • @SimSamurai Aw thank alot, the sora version is briliant :)

  • lol wat are u doin at 11:19 ?? xD

  • wow, utterly ridiculous, but very cool.. impressive setup.. one thing, use millimetres instead of cubits, chains and furlongs next time eh..

  • Hi. On EKKA Karup Airbase, we are a team of airmen doing service on the airbase, and we are building a home built cockpit. But we are having trobles with using a projector. Which one do you have and how fare is it from the wall?

We have a BenQ CPI20c, but it makes a too small size on the wall, or we have to move 10 meters away. Since we are not living in a hangar, that is a problem.

    Can you guide us?

  • @DjankoDK Yes, please take a look at my website at simsamurai-dot-com and you can send me a private message too, I'd be happy to help. I used an old In-Focus In-72 in these videos but a short throw style is good too like ones from Benq or Optoma. My 290 page UGTAFS book that is on my website can really get you guys up to speed.

  • @DjankoDK You could use 2 mirrors.to bounce it back and fourth.

  • was it complicated to build

  • @playa91671 No, not at all. My DIY manual teaches you every step. Check out my website at simsamurai-dot-com

  • Great Job to you and your camera(man.woman) .

  • Do you use project magenta?

  • @ThomasPSousa No, PM is great but really expensive and is only an external program that works with FS. I exclusively use freeware and payware gauges that can be mixed and matched with one another to create fully customised panel sets. It's more fun, more flexible, and alot more cost effective.

  • quick question, can you give me an estimate on how much it cost you to builf this excluding the computer and the 3 monitors?? thanx

nice set up by the way

  • @Wildstar97 Please go to my new website at simsamurai-dot-com. All your questions will be answered there.

  • HOW CAN MAKE 3 MONITOR ON 1 COMPUTER?

  • @FeizJassim easy buy 3 monitors go to config panel then choose Screen and you wil see there are 2 new screens[you need 3 ports in your pc to let him connect to the pc]

  • Hi, that is really cool but I have no money or time although I would love to do it. The question I have which may be mundane to you is this. I have had given to me as a present for doing 5 days of baby sitting a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X and wouild like to assign the slider to the rudder but I have absolutetly no idea, I've searched and searched to find an answer but not found one, can you help? Thanks in advance

  • @catmar1944 Just get some rudder pedals like the CH Pro or Saitek combat pro. Any slider on a joystick should be used for the throttle / power not rudders. I've never heard of anyone wanting to do that. If you don't have money to get rudders yet then get into the control assignments in FS and set it to "auto rudder".

  • @SimSamurai, Thanks for the quick answer much appreciated and I'll look into getting rudder pedals as I need to be able to practice crosswind landings as it's not very easy to do them with a twist grip. Thanks.

  • The coolest thing is: You can hang on it :-)

  • What aircraft is this set up basically meant for?

  • @Brian7139 Anything you want it to be, that's the joy of it. There's no need to pidgeonhole yourself into one aircraft unless say you really fly that for a living. I have designed over 50 custom panels for MSFS and am actually seeking low level FAA certification with my sim as a procedural (and not type) trainer. I can fly a full size twin engine prop panel one hour,,,and switch to a 737 the next. I am also in the process of converting all my screens to touchscreens.

  • @SimSamurai cool, I remember i built a cockpit like that for my PMDG 747, but i was latter forced to reek it because of the lack of space and resources.

  • Great job with your sim pits. One question - with your sim pit technique, how do handle virtual cockpits (vs. 2D cockpits with panels) ? Thanks!

  • @Orbit2020 That's a great question! Becauase of how I set up my desktop and monitors my main pilot monitor is still the system "primary". Therefore windows and programs always open in the pilot side LCD. So if I want to fly a virtual cockpit then I just operate the sim in that one monitor. If I move the exterior view to my projector then the virtual cockpit is displayed on the projector as the 3D cockpit is somehow attached or built in the software to stay whereever the exterior view is.

  • your funny guys but thats okay

  • this is badass makemore plz!

  • Anyways I just found your videos today and really like them because I have been tinkering with multi monitors, and making my own panels since about 2003, at first with CRTs and came up with many of the same ideas you did like the labels in the numeric keypad for autopilot control etc, I have made great panels for the Boeing 737ng, the The Citation 560XL which Im Typed in and the King Air E90 that Im currently flying.

  • I really like your setup, You can check out my videos to see mine, the one thing I havent figured out is cow do I set up the side views so they stay fixed every time I exit the sim, what Im using is extra windows wirh the virtual cockpit view but every time I start the sim they are in the foreward view and i have to adjust them so they show the desired side view, do you have any advice

  • @exceljet What I would try is set up your flight at a departure gate and then set everything up as you want it and then toggle into fullscreen mode, see if it holds, and then save the flight. Next time you start the sim load that saved flight and see if that works. There is a page in my UGTAFS which discusses this exact subject but I dont wan't to repeat it all here. I hope that at least helps you some.

  • hey how u doing? i have a question do u sale those tips? to make my own mone?

  • @dioni81 You need to go to my channel and then find my website.

  • @Makeufamous Glad you like it...check out my other videos and my website for my other designs!

  • Certainly a far cry from a rig I saw here on youtube where some kid taped his crutches together, lol

    Nice demo!

  • @jonthedoors Yeah, that was my prototype! The transition from desk to sim-pit can be an interesting journey, often filled with duct tape and little forethought.

  • Cool!
