Mitsirugi was the only person i used in the game and his ending where you had to beat the guy using the gun was sweet beat the guy with the gun 4 times and got some kind of wooden stick i think. no one could beat me when i used him. lol he was THE master swordsmen

This was the first game I played on our PSX. Ahh, the memories...

It's awesome that you could actually disarm your opponent. For me this added an extra dimension to the game. And also the great music and ambience of the stages(the stages having an actual day/night cycle). It just all adds up to an Epic experience of a game.

This was the BEST in the SoulEdge/Blade/Calibur series, in my opinion. Graphically, definitely not, but in terms of playability ... there is none better, much like Tekken 2 stands, in my mind, as the best rendition in the series because of it's superior gameplay (though it sucks graphically compared to its later versions, the same way SoulEdge did compared to its descendants). Of course, I'm biased because I used Li Long and when they took him out, the other games just weren't the same for me.

I was about 5 years old when I first played this game. I played Tekken before it, and I was like, "WOW, Tekken's graphics are amazing!" But when I saw this, I thought to my little kid self, "..THIS TOTALLY PWN'D TEKKEN"

Um, I think ya got em mixed up. A beat-em up if when you fist one or more people, and you move on and fight more. This is just reffered to as a fighting game...where you fight one guy, then after the battle is over, you fight another.

@Cinnamonr0xs It's because back then there were about 8 characters in the average fighter and there was room to give them each a decent amount of time in the opening. These days, there are a lot more characters in this type of game - just look at Tekken 6, it has about forty characters in it. There's no way you're going to cram forty characters in a game opening and have it still be decent.
