I took this little mantra to heart when I was applying for grad school. GPA-wise, I don't think I deserved to get it. Not because I couldn't achieve but because I was a fucking slacker from day one. Anyhow, I dropped the bullshit and started putting the work in and taking this mantra seriously. Long-story short, I'm in grad school right now and I can't help but think that this mantra gave me a boost along the way. I listened to this before my interviews and relaxed and let loose.
