Great to see mickey running around and having adventures though. I've always wondered why mickey never got his own show during the hey day of the Disney Afternoon block.
@GameStation3 They could have also built a model and filmed it. Then they could have traced and animated over the filmed model to make that particular scene smoothly animated. Just a guess, though.
How did they make the backgrounds without computers?
Very painstakingly I would imagine.
2D Animation is a very slow process. They probably had quite a few ppl working on backgrounds and effects at that time. Also the animation on Mickey is done separately from the background and then filmed together. It's tough to explain but it's a wonderful art form!
The ending was a cop out.
