How come when you performed this trick on Ellen the reaction happened all of a sudden rather than the ink slowly spreading out itself evenly?

After you put in the recycling powder can you do the trick again?

If you let the liquid sit after adding the recycling powder, it will automatically trip back to the color of ink.
