I remember back in 1963 how my mother was concerned that there were toy gun commercials on television the weekend following President Kennedy's assassination.
So? Most American kids don't know their country's history, or the Constitution and Bill Of Rights.
BUT they can burn the Flag, shout obscenities at the funerals of our war dead, and become alcoholics and potheads during their 4 year college education as they disrespect anyone and anything around them.
This was a 1961 commercial, usually seen on "MATTY'S FUNDAY FUNNIES". This was also during the period when "Dick Tracy" began appearing in a syndicated cartoon series produced by UPA, hence the reference at :39. That same year, Mumy's major TV guest star roles were in the "TWILIGHT ZONE" episodes "Long Distance Call" and "It's A Good Life", and the "ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS" episode "Bang! You're Dead" [in which he unknowingly walks around the neighborhood with a loaded gun].

Interesting that Mumy was in a great Hitchock episode called heh heh THE GUN, about a kid who walks around with a real pistol.

It's just like I remember when I was a kid. Not so different from today's kids, except they're using real guns.

This is the same kid who on the Twilight Zone was sending people to the cornfields and changing them into scarecrows and jack in the boxes.

It's hard to blame her really. I would have felt the same way in those circumstances.

@Shawnster65 Which has nothing to do with anything. Anyway, I just being facetious.

@GusF No prob, it's all good.
I was a bit facetious in return, but there is a ring of truth to how our kids are acting today.
In any case, we'd better benice to Billy, he wants us to think "happy thoughts" or he'll wish us out of existence...

Shouldn't a child of that age be capable of reading a comic strip?
