He's an okay hitter, but his BA is pretty empty (.349 OBP, a little speed I guess). Awful fielder though.

Jeter and Torii Hunter have made great plays too. Doesn't mean they're great. And don't even bring up Gold Gloves, as the people that vote for them are idiots.

Yea but knowing he started his career a 2nd baseman...then moved to shortstop....then to 3rd base is amazing...ive played 5 yrs in baseball and in my last 2 years i went from 2nd to 3rd...it wasnt easy...i looked like it was my first time playing baseball...hes not THE BEST player to ever play the game but he is one of them in the league this year...and he did it without steroids unlike most players this era..

Michael Young has been my favorite player since late 2002, I just loved the way he played. Then come a couple of years later he explodes and is a pretty big star. I think it's awsome.

The way he plays the game is great. He just goes out there and does his job quietly with out trying to get attention for himself. Before this big contract, he had a 4 year 10 million dollar deal. in the second year of his contract his career really yook off and he could have been making alot more money. But instead of being selfish, like AROD, he stuck it out. Classy guy
