  • Has any one noticed that the interior design for many buildings in this series was pretty modern for the 30 era britain?

  • I don't care what everyone is sayin' but i like that handsome woman!..or my I say I find that handsome woman most attractive....

  • "Hercule Poirot does not need to go to the dentist!" XD

  • 6:27 The whole watch thing always bothered me. I'm right-handed, and I've always worn my watch on my right hand. :P

  • @snipergirl21 Ditto. That has always confused my mum. It makes perfect sense to me. If I'm right-handed, of course I'll wear my watch on my right hand. I'm more likely to look at it!

  • @twillyforever101 as with any rule, there are exceptions. But in general right-handed people wear it on the left and vice-versa. Supposedly, t makes it easier to "lock-on", and to look at the time while you're using your dominant hand. Of course, as with all behavioural traits this is also influenced by family and surrounding social circle. I know plenty of lefties who wear it on the left-hand as well.

  • "My teeth are PERFECTION!!!"

    hehe

  • My god, I do love a good episode of Poirot...

  • Poirot also fell in love with the Countess Rossacof (sp?) in "Double Clue"...alas, that did not work out.

  • Raven, I am subscribing to your channel RIGHT NOW!!! Oh my!! Your Poirot videos are so amazing!

  • If the gun is still in her hand, how does the policeman know about the fingerprints?

  • @BicPentameter by looking.

  • the woman Poirot fell in love with is the one that gave him his first flower pin.. and he always has one to match his suit now... because of her.

  • @bronteteri the old softy

  • @bronteteri Um. No. Its the same flower pin. It just has a see thru part, so it looks like it is a different color depending on the flower.

  • Thanks for uploading! I though I watched almost all of them, but I realised there are a few more. :P

  • Is poirot a homosexual? He has no lover to speak of and he is rather foppish.

  • @Microglia1 No, he is simply a staunch bachelor. It was not uncommon in those days to decide to stay "outside of marriage". Poirot was once very much in love with a woman, but it just did not happen. He still has feelings for her, though. It pops up in the episode "The Chocolate Box".

  • @Microglia1 The fop is usually somewhat dim-witted and reaching above his station in life. Poirot is fussy about his dress and diet, but is not a fop. He is a gourmand and a stylish dresser - in his own mind,, but not really a dandy.

  • @JonFrumTheFirst Poirot is extremely well dressed, and his little accoutrements are very stylish and impressive. Like the cigarette ash holder. Some people simply feel that a man should not care about such things. 'Fop' is the same as 'metrosexual'. Some metrosexual men are brilliant and talented, and some are not. As for reaching above one's station; I applaud everyone who does so. Only snobs believe people have a station.

  • @Microglia1 Nope! If you read any of Agatha Christie's novels with him as the lead, you will see he has a weakness for beautiful women. Also, in the Chocolate box, an old love is revealed. Never has it been suggested that Poirot was homosexual. Plus, it's rather ignorant and stereotypical to label him as such because he appears foppish.

  • @librarygirl8 He's not gay. He's just Belgian.

    :)

  • Does mr Poirot hate dentists ??.hahaha,,,its always good to have someone attentive as Miss Lemon, organizing and doing little things for Mr Poirot

  • What year is it supposed to be?

  • @cyntpenny -- 1935 -- Poirot so states in part {2/5} at 7:09.

  • @KevinByrne2 They are almost all in 1935 or 1936. It seems Poirot was the busiest man alive those two years as London practically killed itself.

  • Her unflattering hair style and heavy makeup, both popular at the time period, add to what some people may think her masculine appearance. Also, the fact the actress is tall and rather strapping. She is what is known as a 'handsome woman'. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Let's stop staring at her face, people, and just watch the show.

  • @jharker45 I think the hairstyle and clothing she wears is very flattering and pretty. And there is nothing wrong with her face. I doubt that the people who think she looks mannish are any better looking.

  • @jharker45 Well, quite frankly, I find Miss Lemon rather attractive, bar the 'kiss' curls she seems to love so much, in a very, 'proper', way of course......All in the best possible taste, as the quote goes.................

  • @jharker45 I second that. She is a beauty indeed.

  • I don't get it...she looks perfectly feminine to me. She's different looking. There's nothing masculine about that.

  • 'Yes Hastings, we pull ever so gently, the leg.'

  • In any of the Poirot series, do you ever get to see Mrs Japp?

  • @someonegetsteve No not really. You only get to hear about her a few times on other episodes but that is it.

  • @someonegetsteve no, she's always away, at a neighbourhood conference or something.
