Like I said, this has to do with applications for lands for native Hawaiians, not proof of birth in the United States nor application for drivers license, etc. When you simply ask for a birth certificate (without a court order or request from the DHHL), the Department of Health will give you the COLB on the factcheck website. Many states refuse to give you the long form. I repeat, it is the Department of Health that deals with these issues and are the ultimate deciders.

The Constitution says only a natural born citizen can be president. The 14th ammendment re-defined citizen but not natural born citien.

Rep. John Bingham of Ohio, considered the father of the Fourteenth Amendment, defines a natural born citizen as:

that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen.

Actually, even kids born to foreign-born parents can be naturalized citizens - look up the Supreme Court case of US v. Wong Kim Ark - foreign born Chinese, their kid was still natural-born. Since the parents were not immune from US jurisdiction and they did not owe allegiance to a foreign sovereign like diplomats do, their kid was a natural born citizen. He had citizenship upon his birth on US soil and therefore was a natural born citizen.

Obama's dad also was not deported, he could reside in the US at any time.

A certificate of live birth IS a birth certificate. You do not need a long form or anything else to prove that you were born in the United States. Obama's certificate shows his date, time, and place of birth (Honolulu, Hawaii) along with his parents, etc. That is all you need to show to the authorities to show that you were born in the United States and thus are a natural born citizen.

Perhaps what you don't get is that if somebody was born in another country and comes here and later becomes naturalized, every state has a way for them to get a U.S. birth certificate. You couldn't very well show a Chinese one at DMV and get very far.

I don't see any link to "Hawaii Homeland Security" (which, btw, I don't think exists, since Homeland Security is a Federal Agency). It is the Hawaii Department of Health that deals with these issues. Anyway, the long-form is not needed. What is posted on Factcheck is all that is required to prove you were born in the United States. IF Obama was born outside and naturalized, it would NOT say that he was born in Honolulu. COLBs can be issued for those born inside the US as well as outside.

In addition, if he wsa NOT born in Honolulu like the certificate says he was, it would not have a signature from the Hawaiian Department of Health confirming that the information in the COLB is the exact same information in the long form. Hawaii, and many other states, do not provide you with a long form when you ask for a birth certificate, they give you the COLB because that is all that is needed to prove your birth.

The Certification of Live Birth posted by Obama is not a valid legal document for most things. Even Hawaii Homeland Security says you cannot use it.

In Hawaii, the Certificate (not certification) of Live Birth is the long form that shows hospital, doctor, etc...

Actually, the factcheck website has his Certificate of Live Birth - it is even titled as such. They do not provide long form certificates as their policy - many other states do not either. You do not need the hospital, doctor or long form to prove you were born in the United States. The Certificate was signed and stamped with a seal and shows he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Go to your state and ask for your birth certificate and they will give you a COLB. You will not get a long form.
