as a avatar cartoon fan, i was sooooo.... dissapointed, they cut out alot of my favorite and important parts of the cartoons, and my favorite cartoon character Sakka was not even funny at all, no humor and expected more actions, what a waste, sorry but I gotta say, I wish Peter Jackson the Lord of the Rings director or Steven Spielburg, or Pirates of the Carribean director can do this movie even better, they have more experience,, the cartoon was much better to watch than the freaken movie.

To still be arguing about racism in movies is ridiculous. Hollywood has been changing races for years. It really doesnt matter. He based the movie on different cultures of OUR world. CHILLAX. Jesus didnt have long strait hair and blue eyes according to the bible, and Cleopatra was black. You would never know that based on moivies, but the point they make is just the same.

The show had an element of comedy, mostly because the Avatar is a little kid, so I hope that that they introduce that into the movie.

honestly the fact that he picked white guys (originally the whole cast) for a show about asian/indian culture bugged me. im not even gonna front like it didnt because if someone made a superman movie and made superman black instead; you know there would b a bunch of ppl bitching. but wutever. ima withhold my judgement til after i watch the movie cuz that trailer didnt seem too bad. 1 star off for casting choice. 4 left shyamalan, ur move.

its a fantasy setting that draws upon non specific eastern cultures. the shows style doesnt make everyone asian. strange that people complain about color and not cultural inaccuracies, stereotypes and accents like you would expect. too much racism in the world, color of skin doesn't matter so much : P

WHY IS EVERY OVER REACTING ABOUT THE CAST, in Avatar, they had their own world & nationalities like us. Soooo, not everyone would hav the same skin color like some people r saying. & dont u even say its gonna b like Dragonball Evolution. Evolution butchered the DBZ storyline & tried 2 make seem more American. This is not going 2 be it. M. Night is a big fan of the show & wants 2 make it as accurate 2 the show as possible, wen the movie comes out, THEN u can bitch.

At first I thought this movie was going to bomb, because the casting is not good, and Shyamalan isn't that great..but this actually changed some of my previous opinions. I'm going to want to see this now ^_^

Iunno Maybe for the Fire bender not drawing out their own fire, its very open, maybe they can create their own fire ut maybe sometimes for cgi purposes they just draw the fire who knows?
