The key to victory is really to just remember that Ganon moves just as he fires. So attacking where he fired from is almost pointless.

Ahh I never found that. I thought there were way too many locked doors in the final dungeon, I didn't know if they expected you to buy keys or what. I had 13 Keys (from previous dungeons) going in and luckily I found ganon with 0 keys left. After I beat it and looked at the final dungeons layout I was surprised at how much I didn't explore. Had I not got lucky I probably would have just farmed money and bought keys x_x

It's epic, and it has some cool differences from later games, e.g. being far less linear than most of the rest of the series. (OoT, for instance, is somewhat non-linear, but not to the extent of this game. Many others, like TP, don't even come close.)
