Furthermore, on a track the R will win as well. It's a car that's made for all round purposes. It's just a better overall car from the box. hands down.

You can make anything fast with money. As far as upgrades you can get a GT-R into the mid 10s without launch control with just an intake, exhaust and a tune.

Dude think about it this way. The Hennessey package is like buying the Super Snake. Its cheaper to buy mods yourself and get an aftermarket tune. You also underestimate the horsepower and torque improvements do to any car. Some cars increase by half a second in the 1/4 mile on just a tune alone. Another thing is Hennessey isn't all that good either. They are only good with vipers. Why get the Hennessey ZR1 when you can get a Lingenfelter ZR1?
Additionally the 2010 GT-Rs no longer have launch contro and the 2009 GT-Rs have an ECU upgrade for launch control l so the issue with voiding the warranty is null and void in itself.
Hey guys I'm not into racing cars either a muscle fans vs ricer fans but I think that mustangs and other american cars are more suitable for tune up and race from the technology point of view. They are easily tuned, obtaining more results with those big V8 without compromising the integrity of the car and getting better numbers. Plus the simplicity of the systems with front engine, copuled to a 5/6 tranny, rear wheel drive vs all the modern stuff made them the choice of many, plus less money.

The 03/04 CObra SVT was one of the BEST cars that ford ever built, besides you obviously like dodge so it's not like you have any taste in cars anyway. If this is the most highly modded cobra you've seen, look harder.

KB cobras can hit 9s all day long dude.

SCs need back pressure, you obviously needa learn more about forced induction.

I'm a ford man myself (got an 03 cobra) but I respect GM. C6 Z06's are def. the benchmark of "fast." and LSx motors can be monsters.
My main gripe with the GTR is that if you drive it like it is supposed to be driven and something breaks then Nissan won't cover it. That, to me, is total bullshit. If you build a supercar, you should back it when people drive fast (which is obvious they are going to do).

No, you definitely don't need a KB to go 11's, I have seen KB cobra's go NINES in the quarter at 145 mph, that is faster than the GTR will ever see, and those are full weight street legal cars too. Look on my favorites, a PULLIED COBRA, not KB, going 10.99, A pullied Cobra is good for 11's even 10's with the right driver and combo, KB is the easy way to get to tens/nines. Its not built, geared,powered for that. The Japanese laugh at us for ruining it. Anyway its overproced for what it is new. But since they are tanking ( you can get one for under $60k now ) then i guess if you leave it sock youre fine. For drag racing and modding the platform sucks. Dude think about it this way. The Hennessey package is like buying the Super Snake. Its cheaper to buy mods yourself and get an aftermarket tune. You also underestimate the horsepower and torque improvements do to any car. Some cars increase by half a second in the 1/4 mile on just a tune alone. Another thing is Hennessey isn't all that good either. They are only good with vipers. Why get the Hennessey ZR1 when you can get a Lingenfelter ZR1?

Hey guys I'm not into racing cars either a muscle fans vs ricer fans but I think that mustangs and other american cars are more suitable for tune up and race from the technology point of view. They are easily tuned, obtaining more results with those big V8 without compromising the integrity of the car and getting better numbers. Plus the simplicity of the systems with front engine, copuled to a 5/6 tranny, rear wheel drive vs all the modern stuff made them the choice of many, plus less money.

You're right, it is a production car, and it's ~pretty fast for a stock car, but good luck modding it... you won't have a warrenty on your 85k dollar car. A kb cobra is not highly modded, idiot, it's a blower swap and supporting fuel mods. Cobra's are a disgrace to shelby's name? I'm a ford man myself (got an 03 cobra) but I respect GM. C6 Z06's are def. the benchmark of "fast." and LSx motors can be monsters.
My main gripe with the GTR is that if you drive it like it is supposed to be driven and something breaks then Nissan won't cover it. That, to me, is total bullshit. If you build a supercar, you should back it when people drive fast (which is obvious they are going to do).

technically r33 and r34s are heavy to haha, but they got so much more potential for power. the r35 is a joke for the price they want for it.

yea but that new gtr is 3814 pounds and the r34 is 3395 pounds, and the r33 is 3373 pounds so the r35 is the biggest of them all, but the reason the skylines were so heavy was cause of the awd, and that rb was heavy too.

yea i know what u mean but from what i been hearing that only 3 or 4 trannys have broken because owners were using the launch control too hard, and also theres a bunch of other shit but it aint worth repeating but the new gtr is better they got all the bugs out but, to me it seems alot of the cars that are coming out now days are total let downs, its either that or they cost too damn much.

lol sure a 509 rwhp car with a larger displacement would lose to a car the same weight that has around 100 less hp.... after i get my cam I could put bus lengths on a GTR hell i could pull a few cars on one now.

sorry dumbass but if u knew anything about the gtr u would know that it is not rear wheel drive like u say about. its all wheel drive and 480 HP is a shit load for an all wheel drive car. and by the way.... the gtr is one of the fastest PRODUCTION cars made. sorry but im pretty sure the dude in that cobra didnt buy it off a show room floor like that. and sorry homie but ur gto weighs the exact same as the gtr and the gtr would smoke you....not to forget it is running on 2 less cylinders.

Like try Hellion's STOCK MOTOR compound boost Cobra that makes 1100 rwhp. Yeah fuck off, a KB Cobra is a simple upgrade that puts these cars to a whole different level, one that not even the GT-R can compete at. BTW, he was saying how much HP the GT-R loses through it's AWD you fucking moron. 2cylinders, but alot more boost, lets even that out and .... oh yeah then the cobra walks a car FOUR times its price, that's why I own a cobra. if u wanna do it that way then lets take a look at Stock Fords vs Stock nissan. Both have a super car. Ford GT and Nissan GTR. sorry but the Ford is 2x as much and will still get beat. and seriously its a fucking cobra... Sorry but i cant remember the last time ive drivin down the road and NOT seen a mustang. Have u ever ridden in a GTR??? i dont think u have.. GTR is the best PRODUCTION CAR not the best street race whip. but i wouldnt doubt on of those 1200hp R34 whooping that cobras ass.

The Ford GT is THE definition of a supercar, you don't know what you are talking about. Part of a supercar is exclusivity and price, if you make a "supercar" available to any average joe well it's not really a supercar now is it? And seriously, a Cobra is RARE, yes you may see MUSTANGS all the time but not cobra's.... there is MANY v6, gt's and mach 1's out there but not nearly as many Cobra's. Yes, I have, my buddy who owns the Z06 i was talking about, his brother has one.

man I must have gotten under your skin. lol but realize a stock cobra vs that stock gtr would loose. who changes their gtr when it only has 3,500 miles like that one in the video has. its brand new. sorry but that car doesnt need to be changed to be an 11 second car. you need a KB to go that fast in a cobra. stock it would never happen. so chill the fuck out and u keep forgetting the word PRODUCTION. Fords Production supercar is the GT and the GTR beats it. theres a good comparison for u.

No, you definitely don't need a KB to go 11's, I have seen KB cobra's go NINES in the quarter at 145 mph, that is faster than the GTR will ever see, and those are full weight street legal cars too. Look on my favorites, a PULLIED COBRA, not KB, going 10.99, A pullied Cobra is good for 11's even 10's with the right driver and combo, KB is the easy way to get to tens/nines. You don't get under my skin, you just don't know what you are talking about. Thats all I have to say.

One more thing though, yes this vid is comparing a stock car to a modded one but it also comparing a "muscle car" to a sports/super car, and again, it's comparing a $20,000 car to a $85,000 car. Now when you look at it that way, the GT-R SHOULD win, but it doesn't. huh. weird.

You keep saying PRODUCTION like that matters... did you forget about the ZR-1? How about the Viper SRT-10 ACR?? And those are just tests in magazines, REAL WORLD tests like this video are what matters and this vid clearly shows the GTR gets TERMINATED by pullied Cobra's and absolutely shit on by KB Cobra's. Stock to modded it doesn't matter, a win is a win and for a quarter of the price.

i got a gtr for you!!!! lol. its made by POWER ENTERPRISE and it is their twin turbo AND twin supercharge gtr. Its has over 670+whp and a little over 700+ on the motor. this is not a gtr i would want to race and i think that cobra may say the same....
