Yes I am in The Old Guard. Charlie company, full honors firing party platoon, 1/3 infantry battalion. Each platoon in a company had a certain job-caskets platoon, firing party platoon, and marching platoon. This ceremony consisted of just about every company had a part in it.
@tkemmere69 - interesting. There musy have been 100 soldiers there that day, between the band, honor guard, firing party, etc. Is there a place I can read more about the Old Guard? I had never been to a military funeral before, and found it all fascinating. You can email me directly at StuartKL@aol.com
Nice video! I was in the ceremony jn the firing party 2nd from the left... My wife uploaded and created a video also I just uploaded to my account. It was such an honor to be a part in this ceremony and to be part of history.
Nice video, I was also at the services and I have uploaded a video as they left the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It is listed under "Frank Buckles Funeral, 3/15/2011". It does not have the resolution but it does capture the moment.
A film of the casket of Frank Buckles, the last doughboy, being taken off the caisson at Arlington National Cemetery on March 15, 2011. He will rest in eternity about 100 feet from General Black Jack Pershing. Thank you for your service, Mr. Buckles, and your extraordinary life too.
Has* not had, sorry about that.

@tkemmere69 - How did you get to be in the firing party? Are you a member of the Old Guard? Just curious.
